Honest insight. Christina Hall (née Haack) has used her platform to offer a candid look at her health struggles over the years.
The reality star rose to fame after she starred in HGTV’s Flip or Flop alongside then-husband Tarek El Moussa. The former couple, who share daughter Taylor and son Brayden, were married from 2009 to 2019.
Hall moved on with fellow TV presenter Ant Anstead amid her divorce. The duo, who started dating in 2017, tied the knot after one year together. They expanded their family with son Hudson in 2019 and later called it quits.
Following their 2020 split, Christina found love again with realtor Josh Hall. The pair got engaged and exchanged vows in 2022. As Christina and Josh prepared to offer a glimpse at their dynamic on screen with HGTV’s Christina in the Country, the California native revealed that she was dealing with some health problems.
“Been super exhausted lately so on a kick to get back into my body,” Christina wrote via Instagram in December 2022. “I’ve had some unexplained health stuff for years and now I’m considering the thought that this could be Breast implant related. Does anyone else have any experience with this subject? I’m curious on all the ladies take on this.”
That same month, the TV personality broke down her decision to undergo testing at an alternative wellness and medical facility. The results revealed that Christina had “energetic imbalances” seemingly caused by her renovating moldy homes.
“If people aren’t feeling well, take a look at your diet or what you’re putting into your body or lack of exercise,” she told E! News in January 2023. “It’s hard to show up and work hard or be a great parent or feel present when you don’t feel great.”
The Christina on the Coast star continued to use social media to discuss her well-being. In January 2023, Christina detailed how she learned she had an “abnormal amount of gut” bacteria.
“I did an expensive, super extensive panel and I got all my results back,” she explained via Instagram. “It tests for like 100 different types of molds, metals and bacterias, and my highest level of toxicity came back as an abnormal amount of gut bacteria, which is like SIBO [small intestine bacteria overgrowth] and also parasites. So those are my biggest conditions.”
She continued: “I have a little bit of heavy metals going on too, so I’m on a cleanse and a parasite cleanse. I heard it gets worse before it gets better. It’s pretty brutal but I’m hoping at the end I feel good.”
