The priest informs them that Aldonza and Christobal are not brother and sister, the congregation begun whispering, Valeria stands up in shock then collapse, Severiano angrily challenges the priest but the priest raises the result and shows him the evidence, the priest repeat it once again that Aldonza and Christobal are not related, therefore there is nothing to stop them from getting married, and plead with both family to accept the truth, Severiano angrily tries to walk to the altar but people prevent him, Aldonza looks around for Christobal but he isn’t there, he is on a bus he says to himself even though she is his sister, she will always be the love of his love, and the bus takes off, Severiano threatens the priest and angrily storms out of the church, Aldonza smiles, Candela reproaches the priest, for abusing her trust, but he advises her to accept the truth, she also walks out of the church angrily, Aldonza can’t help but smile at this revelation, Humberto wants to take Valeria to the clinic to check on her but she refuses, he proposes they go home then but Prudencia refuses, she wants to go and console Candela and Severiano, Valeria agrees with her and they both leave, on their way home, Severiano reprimands Candela for trusting for the priest, they starts arguing until Melesio interrupts them, tells them he left Christobal at the entrance of the church but when he came back after parking the truck, he was nowhere to be found, they scolds him then asks him to look for him and leave.
Dominga offers to stay with him, he then informs her Christobal left town, Candela goes to Christobal’s room and sees his goodbye note, she quickly rushes downstairs and informs her husband, Adelina worries that the priest may get into trouble for what he did, but he asks her not to worry, well Christobal didn’t actually live town, he went to look for Emanuel, Valeria thinks they have a little time at their disposal, since Christobal doesn’t know he is not Aldonza brother, Dominga enters Candela’s room for the following day and sees her crying, candela confesses to her that she doesn’t know what hurt the most, the fact that the priest betrayed her or the fact that her son left, Valeria meets with Severiano at a coffee shop to discuss about her father, Christobal shows up, few minute after Emanuel had left the competition venue, and gets to know that Emanuel won, Severiano briefs Candela about his meeting with Valeria and hope she can support them, the priest comes to Adelina’s room and sees her crying, she tells him she feels guilty, and doesn’t know how to confront Aldonza, because she wants to open the sister’s tomb, she tries to find out if she still hiding something apart from the fact that the tomb is empty but Adelina pleads to him to stop looking into it, Humberto comes home and sees his wife crying, he approaches to find out, she tells him Valeria left the house, Melesio visits Aldonza and informs her that Christobal has left town.
Christobal calls Dominga, to inform her that he is doing ok, she gives the good news to him that he and Aldonza are not siblings, Aldonza informs Adelina that Christobal left town , Christobal asks his nanny if she is sure of what she is saying, she tells him yes and narrates how it all happened, she hears Candela’s voice and changes the subject, then pretends she is talking to someone else, Valeria’s parents start blaming each other for her disappearance, Humberto offers to go look for her, meanwhile Dominga is making the bed for Valeria, Candela asks her to feel at home, but Valeria worries that Christobal may not like the idea, Severiano instructs his lawyer to press charges against Father Jeronimo, and gives him the DNA result the priest did without his consent, but his lawyer advises they take things calmly and find more evidence, Candela compliments Severiano for his idea of making Valeria moves into their house, Dominga interrupts their conversation and informs them that Humberto is here, Candela decides to go talk to him, she admits that his daughter is with them, but advises him to allow her stay with them for a while, Renato updates Aldonza on the search for Emmanuel, Adelina hides and listen to their conservation, Aldonza informs him she is not Christobal’s sister, she narrates to him how it all happen and asks him for the legal implication, he admits that it won’t be easy but he will do everything necessary to help the priest, Aldonza recalls the first day Christobal swimming in the river, and smiles, Christobal shows up at that moment and tells her he came to confirm what he heard, she tells him they not siblings, he asks her if she is going to forgive him, she says yes and kiss him.
