Manuel goes to the church as his last option, he begs the priest to let him stay in the church. The priest accepts in condition that he works in the church. Virginia tries to convince Emiliano to take part in the competition in Cancun. He refuses to go because he is working on his project and can’t travel at the moment. Jorge and Salma join them and finally convince him to go. The therapist compliments Magdalena for taking the news calmly. Magdalena wonders if Aaron knows her daughter whereabouts. Aaron calls and she asks him to show her evidence that her daughter is still alive. Martin invites Matilde and Veronica for dinner, he leaves and she starts smiling. Virginia tells Salma about Emiliano intention to offer Claudia a job at the company. Salma assures her she won’t let Claudia closer to her family. She prefers to ask Montserrat to find her a job out of the Mexico. Cresencio is angry, shouting in the house because Pablo is late for their meeting. Manuel accepts the priest condition and immediately starts working in the church. Ana Perla feels Pablo only wanted to take advantage of her. Blanquita returns and informs them Pablo left to another town to attend to some private business. Aaron shows up at Magdalena’s place with pictures of Veronica’s childhood.
He promises to give them to her only if she agrees to be his wife again but she refuses. Veronica calls Emiliano and informs them that Matilde is with her. She tells him not to breakup with Virginia because she is of no good. Emiliano gets angry and advises she mind her own business and informs her he is planning of marrying Virginia. Aaron pushes Magdalena to sit on his lap, she still refuses to leave Botel for him, he get violent and start harassing her. Veronica tells Emiliano he can’t marry Virginia, he tells her he has also decided to move on with his life just like her. It was Virginia who helps him forget about her (Veronica), and asks her not to call him again. Emiliano hangs up and Veronica asks Matilde what happen to Emiliano. Virginia arrives in time to prevent Emiliano from drinking. He tells her he spoke with Veronica and he is a bit shaky. He tells Virginia he told Veronica they are getting married. Virginia tells him he makes her very happy and kisses him. Emiliano asks her not to be too excited, he only said it to make Veronica feel bad. He makes it clear to her that he has no intention of getting married to her now. He tries to explain things to her but she stops him and thanks him for telling her the truth. He proves he really want to stay away from Veronica and advises they let Veronica believe they are really getting married. Martin comes to inform Veronica and Matilde that all is set for dinner but Matilde tells him she can’t make it anymore. Magdalena manages to free herself from Aaron and assures him she won’t leave Botel for someone as violent as him.

He threatens to kill Botel if she doesn’t do as he says. Martin and his wife have a very romantic dinner at the balcony of the hotel, he kneel beside her as they watch the star. She thanks him for bringing her to this perfect place and they both stare at each other. Aaron finally leaves and Magdalena manages to have at least one picture of her daughter. Martin informs his wife he has to bride Teo to let them have the balcony for themselves. Blanquita shows up to interrupt their romantic moment. She congratulates them for making peace and they both laugh. Jorge hides and listens to Emiliano and Virginia discussion about Veronica. Emiliano tries to drink but Virginia stops him and asks him to focus on the upcoming competition. Blanquita leaves and Martin and his wife continue with their romantic dinner. He tells her since she is on medication and can’t drink alcohol, they will toast with water. The chef shows up and Martin tells her he cook the food. She also confesses to him that the food he made for her the last time was delicious. He wants to tell Veronica everything about himself, his parent, childhood, as if they just started dating. Pierre shows up and hand over an envelope to Martin and leaves. Veronica asks him if something is wrong, he says no, he rather has a surprise for her but he will give it to her after dinner. Magdalena watches her daughter and apologies for giving her a horrible man as a father. Veronica quickly finishes her dinner and asks Martin to tell her about surprise. He finally hands over the document to her and informs her he paid for a star to be named after her. She tells him she loved it and thanks him, he tells her if at any time they are no more together. They can just look at the star and feel close to each other, he moves closer to kiss her, she hesitates but at the end she kiss him. Magdalena obviously decides to leave Botel, she hears him coming and quickly hides the picture.
Martin takes advantage and asks for another chance to make their marriage work. She tells him she still doesn’t know what to say, her uncle Jorge thought her that marriage is about supporting each other to move forward. He agrees with her and suggest since they can’t start at fresh. They should use their past to improve their future. She tells him Jorge was right when he said they were rushing to get married. She feels they should have known each other a bit before getting married. Martin offers to tell her about his family, especially after the death of his mother. She was a very brave woman who though him never to give up in life. He tells her she is just like his mother; she was a single mother and raised him all by herself. She met another man and had Demetrio; she stops him because she doesn’t want to talk about Demetrio. She doesn’t want their romantic moment to end with a fight, but Martin begs her to listen to him. Botel comes home and bring up clement issue again, he tries to touch her but she refuses. She intentional starts a fight with him and asks him to leave. Martin tells her he had to take care of his little brother after their mother died. She caresses his hair and admires his strength, and tells him Demetrio always talk about his big brother. She never imagine she will be married to him one day, she tells him he was a good friend. She feels bad for his death and she asks him if he believes her when she says nothing happen between them. Martin stares in her eyes without saying a word.
