Renata informs Abigail she is now the only owner of the hacienda. Abigail doesn’t understand it, Mateo is the owner. Mateo tells her he sold it to her, Fausto can’t believe it. Mateo asks her to accept the gift. he and Renata want to secure her future. Macaria decides to accept the gift on behalf of her daughter. Renata takes Abigail aside and asks not to trust anyone especially now that she hacienda belongs to her. Fausto calls Macaria, Abigail goes after the envelope. Fausto wonder if she doesn’t trust her own mother now. Abigail prefers to let Renata keeps the documents. Fausto and Macaria argue outside, he wants her to help him get back the hacienda. He tells he is the only that deserve the hacienda. She promises to help him and calls him her love. He asks her to call him this way, she is sure Renata will confide in her. Fausto is pissed off and doesn’t want to hear Renata’s name. She tells him Renata trusts her and sees as her sister. Abigail is also her daughter and as such she can easily manipulate them. Dr. Patricio feels Mateo is interested in Abigail more than he thinks. Mateo disagrees; he feels the doctor is only confused. Patricio tells him he is rather the confused one. The Cruz sisters together with Dianna and her aunt gossip about Abigail and Renata. Simona tells them everyone in town know Renata loves Abigail like her own child. It is normal if Renata protect her, they all laugh and make toast. Lucio returns home and drinks more. He is sure Fausto doesn’t know that he made the police find Pablo’s body. Fausto makes toast in the canteen for Abigail.
Dianna wants Mateo to take them home but he refuses. She tries to talk about the kiss but he prefers they talk the following day and leave. Amanda, Vicenta and Benito chat about Diego confrontation with Fausto. Vicenta is worried Fausto might do something to her grandson. Amanda tells her Renata will defend him, Benito wonder how. He reminds her she could not protect Pablo so how can she protect Diego. Macaria informs Fausto that the police found Pablo’s body. She asks him to be careful because Renata is going to the commander to report him. Mateo recalls his kiss with Abigail and smiles. Patricio joins him and Mateo tells him he can’t seem to forget the kiss. He confused about his feeling and wonders what happen. Macaria tells Abigail she is very happy because they will soon move to the hacienda. Abigail has no intention to stay away from her godmother. Macaria feels she has enough people around her. Renata eats grapes and recalls her sweet moment with Pablo at the river side. She notices someone has entered her room. Fausto enters her room and takes out his knife. He quietly walks towards her and point it around her cheek. She calls his name; he freaks out and withdraws the knife then walk away. She goes after him and closes her door. Fausto intentionally put a chair on the staircase and geos to the kitchen. Diego doesn’t intend to return to work. Abigail is with him and they chat about Fausto behavior. Abigail suggests he asks Mateo for a favor but he refuses. She tells him about the hacienda and asks him to work with her. Mateo comes to Abigail’s place but meets with Macaria, she tells him she is with Diego. Abigail begs Diego to accept her offer; she needs someone she can trust.

She needs a friend; it hurts Diego that she seems him as friend. He tells her he loves her, Abigail tells him she doesn’t love him back. She assures him he will be the first person to know if she feels something for him. She knows she doesn’t have a chance with Mateo because he is in love with Dianna. Diego accepts her job offer, she hugs in appreciation. Mateo shows up and sees them together. Fausto wakes Lucio up and demand to know how the police find Pablo’s body. Renata comes out of her bedroom and heads downstairs. She runs into the chair and flips over the staircase. Fortunately she held unto metal banister with her body hanging. She cries and shouts for help until Dr. Patricio shows up. The maid and Constanza also show up. Patricio helps her back on the staircase and hugs her. Lucio swears he didn’t tell anyone. He was in the canteen all night and also heard about the news. Fausto threatens him but Lucio reminds him he is not a snitch. He suspects Meliton was the one because he has powers. Patricio helps Renata to the chair. Constanza tells them it wasn’t an accident. She is sure someone tried to kill her, she suspects Macaraia. Renata refuses to believe, Constanza assures her Macaria will destroy her. Macaria pretends to cries and tells make Abigail feels guilty. She knows Abigail doesn’t love her. Fausto ride his horse on the farm and wonder what happen with Renata. He stares at the house and says he should have received news by now. Lucio informs Mel he lied to Fausto about the Pablo’s body. If Fausto knows it was his fault that they found Pablo’s body, he has no idea what he will do to Mel. He may go against those he loves most; Abigail, Mateo, Diego and Renata.
Constanza insists to Patricio it was Macaria who tried to kill Renata. She assures him Macaria hates Renata though Renata sees her as a sister. She begs the doctor to help her protect her daughter. Renata doesn’t believe her and thinks she is mad. Renata tells Vicenta she is sure it was Fausto who tried to kill her. Patricio asks the maid to be very careful and not to leave Renata all by herself. Amanda begs her to tell the truth to Abigail, she is sure Abigail will understand her. Renata refuses; Abigail will hate her and never forgive her. She doesn’t want Abigail to find out she is her real mother. Dr. Patricio is still around and hears them. Marcelino tries to discourage the commander from investigating Pablo’s case. Commander is well aware Fausto doesn’t care about his family. Everyone in town knows he is dating Dianna. He intends to find the murder. he already promise Renata he will get the bottom of the matter. Abigail is worried about her godmother. Amanda comes in and Abigail wonders who she is. Amanda tells her she is her grandmother. Patricio suggests Abigail and Amanda talk in private. Fausto goes to the commander and tells him Renata inform him they were supposed to see each other this morning. He knows a body was found; he tells him Pablo was Renata’s lover. She was willing to sacrifice everything for Pablo; Bruno was furious and shot him in the head.
