The upcoming ENA Wednesday-Thursday K-drama Moon in the Day dropped a highlight trailer just days before its release.
Scheduled for premiere on November 1, Moon in the Day tells the story of a man who was tragically murdered by his beloved and finds himself frozen in time, and a woman who does not remember her past life.
The trailer portrays the tragic fate of Do Ha (Kim Young Dae) and Han Ri Ta (Pyo Ye Jin). It begins by showing the duo against the backdrop of picturesque landscapes, and the lyrical music adds to the serene ambiance. Do Ha promises Han Ri Ta, “I will protect you forever.”
However, their happiness is short-lived.
The trailer takes a drastic turn, showing Do Ha blood-soaked and Han Ri Ta wielding a sword. Do Ha, his voice filled with fury and sorrow, says, “I was killed by the woman I loved,” leaving viewers intrigued as to why Han Ri Ta killed Do Ha.
Do Ha, now a vengeful spirit, seeks to end Han Ri Ta’s reincarnation, Kang Young Hwa, a firefighter.
The trailer then shifts to the present day, where a top star, Han Jun Oh, encounters a tragic accident, leading Do Ha to possess his body and end his 1500-year-long wait.
Do Ha, now in the body of Han Jun Oh, is determined to keep Kang Yeong Hwa, Han Ri Ta’s reincarnation, by his side to kill her. To achieve this, he makes Yeong Hwa his bodyguard. However, he repeatedly fails in his attempts while she remains oblivious to the truth.
The trailer intrigues viewers by showing Yeong Hwa protected by an invisible barrier, which makes her immune to Do Ha’s attacks.
On the other hand, Yeong Hwa starts seeing glimpses of her previous life, where she lived as Han Ri Ta.
Will Yeong Hwa recover her memories from her past life?
Moon in the Day will premiere on November 1, taking over the time slot of the mystery thriller The Kidnapping Day. Global audiences can stream the K-drama on Viki. Watch the trailer below.
