Lee Soo-hyuk and Lee Da-hee see red in fantasy-thriller S Line

A new fantasy-thriller called S Line is on the horizon for 2024 and the main lineup has been announced, with Lee Soo-hyuk (Tomorrow), praise be, in the starring role alongside Lee Da-hee (Island).
The softy that I am wished for a rom-com, but it will be a treat to see both Lees tackle the tangled world of S Line. With the former playing our free-spirited and truth-seeking police detective Han Ji-wook, the latter presumably will be joining his investigations as the quirky high school teacher Kyu Jin.
The problem at hand, though, is akin to a widespread pandemic with a significant impact on social culture. On one sudden day, the world woke up to find the sun overtaken by a massive obstruction in the sky, creating a dense weave of criss-crossed red lines. Even stranger is that the ends of these long lines are rooted out of people’s heads, literally connecting them to every person they’ve had sexual relations with. The story then follows our characters in the panic and chaos that ensues.
Also in a main role, Arin (Alchemy of Souls 2) takes on the part of high school student Hyun Heub. But curiously, she is someone who has been able to see the red lines since birth. Although it isn’t stated, I’d be surprised if this didn’t affect her personal relationships with others, and it’ll be interesting to see how her love line will play out with fellow classmate Lee Kwang-hee (Love Class 2) having a crush on her.
Based on the popular webtoon by the acclaimed Ggomabi, the cartoonist is also well known for Murder DIEary, which is being adapted into a drama on Netflix and is expected to release in 2024 as well.
For S Line, the plan is to complete post-production by the end of this year, with both writing and directing helmed by Ahn Joo-young.
