Live Your Own Life: Episodes 10-11 (Drama Highlights)

We don’t get any shocking new developments this week, but there are a few notable happenings. Hyo-shim finally runs into her brother Hyo-do and confiscates his precious “Banz.” She sells it, using the money to pay off his debt in full (like he should’ve done ages ago). On the chaebol side, the stakes are getting higher in the race to find Halmeoni. Sook-hyang is so over the stress that she decides they need to take Halmeoni out permanently, although she keeps that between her and her loyal lackey. Tae-min’s soon-to-be in-laws offer to help find her via their TV channel’s investigative program, so now the clock is ticking for Tae-min to find Halmeoni first before she can out his parents for elder abuse.
Given all his family drama, Tae-ho takes a break from the gym, which worries Hyo-shim. As you can imagine, Tae-min is not happy with the way she keeps asking after Tae-ho. And he’s really not happy when she accidently calls Tae-min “Tae-ho” at the gym. Tae-min’s attitude toward Tae-ho makes a lot more sense after learning he was forced to give up his artistic dreams for the company while Tae-ho got to go galivanting abroad doing whatever he pleased. Plus, Tae-ho’s dad mistreated Tae-min and maybe wasn’t the good guy Tae-ho thought he was.
Interestingly, it’s not until after Tae-ho stops going to the gym regularly that he and Hyo-shim slowly begin a tentative friendship. That’s thanks in large part to Tae-ho suddenly being nice to Hyo-shim. He’s downright pleasant and even invites her to grab drinks when they run into each other on the street. Tae-ho shocks her with an apology, explaining that his stress over Halmeoni made him act like a jerk. Funny that although she told Tae-min she’s uncomfortable meeting up with him outside the gym anymore, she has no problem getting drunk with Tae-ho. Tae-min’s face when she brings his drunk cousin home suggests he’s thinking just that. Things are not going Tae-min’s way lately.
