  • Netflix announced their lineup for Hellbound’s second season, with Kim Hyun-joo (Trolley), Yang Ik-joon (Bad Guys: City of Evil), and Kim Shin-rok (Reborn Rich) reprising their roles while Kim Sung-chul (Our Beloved Summer) will be stepping in for Yoo Ah-in (Chicago Typewriter). Alongside new characters played by Yang Dong-geun (The Forbidden Marriage) and Im Sung-jae (Extraordinary Attorney Woo), we’ll also be getting a special guest appearance from Moon Geun-young (Catch the Ghost). Filming is set to begin this summer with production continuing under the trusted hands of filmmaker Yeon Sang-ho (Monstrous) and writer Choi Kyu-seok. [News1]
  • KBS has finally confirmed an air date for the long delayed Run Into You, which will be coming to our screens in two more months on the first of May. Starring Kim Dong-wook (King of Pigs) and Jin Ki-joo (Showtime Begins), the fantasy timeslip will be zooming us back (again) to 1987 with scripts by Baek So-yeon (Tale of Nokdu) and directing helmed collaboratively by PD Kang Soo-yeon (Tale of Nokdu, Ghost Detective) and PD Lee Woong-hee. • In the meantime, KBS is lining up a new drama called Fantasy Sonata, and reports have Park Ji-hoon (Weak Hero Class 1) and rookie actor Hong Ye-ji (2037) on the casting table for the lead roles. Based on a popular webtoon by the same title, the romance sageuk is still in the planning stages. [Star News]
  • Jung Ji-so (The Glory) has been signed on for the drama remake of Miss Granny, taking on the main character played by Shim Eun-kyung (Money Game) and Na Moon-hee (Navillera) in the comedy-fantasy movie back in 2014. The original had a lot of charm, so here’s hoping the drama is a win! There is no news yet on who will be playing Jung’s older counterpart, but filming is set to begin later this year with PD Park Yong-soon directing and scripts penned by Heo Seung-min. [News1]

  • A new poster has dropped for TVING’s upcoming Duty After School, featuring our student soldiers who need to help defend the planet. Starring Shin Hyun-soo (Critical X), Im Se-mi (The Empire), and Kim Ki-hae (End of Broadcast) among a large ensemble cast, the sci-fi thriller will be launching at the end of this month on March 31.
