Moon Sang-min objects to Jeon Jong-seo in Wedding Impossible

tvN’s new rom-com Wedding Impossible has started sending out their invites, kicking off their promo campaign with stills from the first script reading, led by Jeon Jong-seo (Bargain) and Moon Sang-min (Duty After School).

The web novel adaptation stars Jeon Jong-seo as Na Ah-jung, a talented but no-name actor who has been stuck playing minor parts. Thus, she is tempted when her best friend of 15 years Lee Do-han – played by Kim Do-wan (Doona) – offers her a main character act, by becoming his (fake) wife and daughter-in-law to his chaebol family.

That scenario alone spells hijinks for our fish-out-of-water heroine, but the wedding is also met with opposition from Do-han’s younger brother, Lee Ji-han (Moon Sang-min). You see, Ji-han’s long ambition has been to make his beloved hyung the conglomerate’s successor, but Ji-han’s careful plans are ruined with Do-han’s sudden decision to marry.

On his part, Do-han (Kim Do-wan) is a competent and capable candidate to inherit the chaebol group, but has been refusing to take on the position. What his family doesn’t know, of course, is that Do-han has been struggling with a difficult secret and ultimately crafts the fake marriage with Ah-jung in order to escape his family’s expectations.

Unaware of hyung’s secret, Ji-han has been eying CEO Yoon Chae-won – played by Bae Yoon-kyung (Unicorn) – to be a proper marriage match for his older brother. However, Chae-won ends up falling in love with Ji-han instead of Do-han, further complicating Ji-han’s well-intentioned but misguided plans.

Directed by PD Kwon Young-il (Doom at Your Service, My Unfamiliar Family) with scripts co-written by Park Seul-gi (Poong the Joseon Psychiatrist) and Oh Hye-won, tvN’s Wedding Impossible premieres next month on February 26, airing in the Monday-Tuesday slot following Marry My Husband.
