The doctor informs Severiano and Candela that Valeria nearly had a miscarriage. She is fine at the moment but she needs complete bed rest. Candela assures him she sees through it that Valeria get enough rest. She asks him how old is her pregnancy but he tell her until she doesn’t the ultrasound and other test he would not know. Christobal put Aldonza in a chair; he removes her jacket and notices she is bleeding. Prudencia and Adelina runs into each other in town, as soon as Prudencia sees her. She starts calling Aldonza bad names again, without saying a word Adelina slaps her. Prudencia tells her Aldonza is her husband’s lover, and because of Aldonza Humberto want to divorce her. Adelina tells Aldonza isn’t responsible for her marital problem, and if her husband want to divorce her. He must have now realized the type of woman she is. Lola visits Emmanuel in jail; she hesitates, smiles then runs into his arms. Tomas is busily fixing the bike his father gave him. Emmanuel tries to explain to her what happen to Mari but she refuses. She reminds that they are both engage and she marrying Pato. Emmanuel asks her if she is sure she loves Pato but she doesn’t answer. Christobal covers Aldonza and tries to go inside to but she pretends to be in pain. He gives her a shirt to change from her wet cloth.
He tries to undress her but she refuses and asks him to turn while she changes. He helps her with the button and steals a kiss from her. Lola tells Emmanuel she doesn’t owe him any explanation. Especially when he also has a girlfriend, he agrees but he never stops loving her. Pato comes to the station to Visit his client Emmanuel but find out that Lola is also around visiting him. he tries to questions her but she get angry and he leaves. Melesio shows up and notices that she is been crying.

Dominga tries to convince Candela to approve Christobal and Aldonza relationship but Candela refuses to listen. Dominga tell her it is impossible for Christobal to forget about Aldonza, and she of all people should know. She asks Candela if she was able to forget father Jeronimo, Candela asks her to keep quiet. Dominga continues to talk till Candela uses her hand to cover her ears. Dominga informs her Severiano intend to buy a car for the priest, Severiano burns Simoneta’s stuff. He recalls the fire incident and feels severe pain in his arm. Valeria tells her mother she is staying in Las Animas is by doctor instruction, she is not reading to lose this baby. It is her only ticket to be part of the Mendoza family and enjoy their wealth. The priest informs Adelina it is possible he leaves Santa Lucia.
Aldonza worries that Christobal isn’t back. Two men attack Christobal and use their gun to hit his head, he falls unconscious. Christobal wakes up and notices that his horse is gone; he manages to get up and start walking. Lola and Melesio knock at Simoneta’s door but no one open until her neighbor comes out. She tells them Simoneta went to visit her daughter sometime back and ever since hasn’t returned. the woman suggests they leave their contact behind in case Simoneta returns she will give it to her. Prudencia informs Humberto about what happen to Valeria and as usual blames it on Aldonza. Candela confronts Severiano about his idea of buying a car for Father Jeronimo. She assures him the priest will never accept anything that comes from him. He tells her the car isn’t coming from him but from the whole Santa Lucia. Christobal manages to get home and tells Aldonza what happen to him. She initially laughs then asks him if he is doing ok, she offers to check his wound. He pulls her on his lap and they start kissing.
