Team Dramabeans: What we’re watching (November 25, 2023)
by DB Staff
So, what are we all watching this week?
What kept you reaching for more (or agonizing when there was no more), and what made you want to throw your remote through the screen? Time to weigh in…

Currently covering: Perfect Marriage Revenge
My Demon: Either I was not in the right mood for this, I’m tired of K-drama theology, or I have to admit I’ll never get over my aversion to Song Kang (I blame you, Nevertheless) — because while I wanted this to work for me, it didn’t. Kim Yoo-jung was perfect, and I loved her scenes with Kim Hae-sook, but I won’t be returning for Episode 2.

Currently covering: Strong Girl Nam-soon, Vigilante
Castaway Diva: Finally, Bo-geol smiles! I’m so glad we finally got to see the story from his perspective, AND my wishes from last week came true — we know, she knows, and he’s not even trying to hide how much he always cared for her anymore. What Bo-geol is planning to do now, I have no idea, and I’m a little confused by his sudden switch up from insisting to Woo-hak that no one can know, ever, but I can overlook a LOT of seeming inconsistencies for the sake of that smile.

Currently covering: The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract
Castaway Diva: Oh, thank goodness! When Woo-hak started regaining his memories, this drama had me a little concerned he would turn out to be Ki-ho, and I’m so glad he isn’t! Bo-geol/Ki-ho and Mok-ha are the cutest! And I just adore Ki-ho’s way of expressing his feelings, saying he’d be a lunatic if he’d spend 15 years searching for someone he didn’t care about. (LOL!) I’m also pleased that I was wrong about Ran-joo, who agreed to come clean to the public and support Mok-ha’s journey to stardom, even if her reaction to Mok-ha running away was just as diva-like as the rest of her. I’m bracing myself for this weekend, though, because it looks like our characters’ lighthearted camping trip was the calm before the storm, and Bong-wan is a pretty scary villain.
A Good Day to Be a Dog: I adore our leading couple, and now that Hae-na has acknowledged that she no longer has a crush on Bo-gyeom, I’m ready for more awkward Seo-won. Someone really needs to tell him to stop getting dating advice from YouTube — or at least subscribe to a different channel.
Perfect Marriage Revenge: I wasn’t initially planning on watching this one because (honestly) I misread the synopsis and didn’t realize she was going to get married to a different (infinitely more appealing) husband the second time around. Plus, I wasn’t sure I could handle the makjang. But, oh boy, once I saw the OTP and snippets of scenes on social media, I ended up binge watching the first six episodes. Did I show up to work one day after getting only three hours of sleep? Yes, but totally worth it!
