Would You Rather #28
by DaebakGrits
In dramaland, leading ladies often find themselves torn between the love of two equally attractive men — a choice none of us would want to make! But what if you did have to pick between the frustrating lawyer and the adorkable police officer? In this weekly feature, we ask you to make the difficult decisions — and we aren’t limiting our options to dreamy oppas.
Vote via the poll and feel free to use the comments to explain exactly how you were able to choose! So, Beanies:
WOULD YOU RATHER #27 RESULTS
I can’t say that I’m surprised that most people would prefer to hang out with the teenaged version of their father (or mother), but I definitely thought there would be more Beanies wishing they could turn into a dog every night. Like @hacja, I saw the appeal of sleeping “soundly for 12 hours” (or six, according to the drama that inspired this prompt) — especially if I end up sleeping like my doggo, who takes up three-fourths of the bed (despite being the size of a neck pillow) and sleeps so well that he snores and sometimes kicks me awake. Not to mention, if you’re like @asianromance and you’re in bed before midnight, there won’t be much of a change to your daily life.
There were a lot of you, though, who were on the edge of changing your vote — if only given the option to be a cat instead of a dog. And then there was @attiton, who “really, really” dislikes dogs but still selected it as the option because messing with timey-whimey stuff isn’t always fun, especially if you’re a woman, and your father lived through undesirable conditions. @oasia’s father, for example, grew up in an communist country.
For most of you, though, the option to visit your parent’s teen years was a clear winner, and I enjoyed reading through the comments section and learning about your family histories. You all had interesting reasons for wanting (or not wanting) to spend time with your teenaged parents. This wasn’t my favorite prompt that I’ve cooked up, but I think it resulted in some of the more interesting responses out of all the Would You Rather posts.
