WOULD YOU RATHER #31 RESULTS
As we enter a new year, I find myself amused by the latest Would You Rather poll results, because the vast (81%) majority of you would rather get a 2023 do-over. Thankfully, it doesn’t sound as though you all had a crummy year, and instead — as is the case with most of these prompts — you found a year-long reboot to be the lesser of two evils.
For most people, one year is not enough time to vastly change one’s life — unless you’re @lostpanda and have the forethought to memorize the lottery numbers — but assuming you don’t get a heads up and are thrust into the past unexpectedly, @welh640 still sees it as an opportunity to rectify all the little things we wished we’d done differently. And, as @enriquequierecagar suggests, fewer mistakes and better decisions would hopefully lead to a more relaxed year. Not to mention, you could be more efficient with your time and watch only the K-dramas you enjoyed or skipped!
In contrast, the unpredictability and uncertainty of taking over a mystery person’s life is too much of a gamble. Most of you are pretty happy with your current lives, and without a guarantee that you’d be richer, healthier, and better loved in the new life, the option to take on a new life is a hard pass. Despite these uncertainties, though, approximately 19% of you chose the more adventurous option because the predictability of repeating the last year would be boring. As @forblue and several others pointed out in the comments section, there are a lot of “possibilities attached with exploring life in all those bodies” that would keep things fresh and interesting.
