Mercedes arrives on time to stop valdivia from killing damian, she gets scared when she sees eusebia on the floor. Doctor san miguel tells mercedes that eusebia is exhausted that she needs to rest perhaps this is why she fainted, but eusebia tells them that she did not faint, that someone gave her something to smell to make her faint and hurt damian. Marina is feeling harassed by the constant words of love of damian and she decides to finish their partnership, she tells him that she will ask mercedes to buy his shares, she tells him that working together he will have hopes of something that will never happen and that she does not want to hurt him, hernan tells her that she is not hurting him with her honesty but she will hurt him if she takes him out of her life, that if she can’t love him he will accept it, but he wants to be with her to support her.
Beatriz tells eusebia that she doesn’t know who would want to hurt her if everybody in town loves her and respects her, but eusebia tells her they didn’t want to hurt her but damian. Marina gets worried when she finds out that they wanted to hurt damian and hernan tells them they must investigate well before making conclusions of what happened. Rebeca says that it is obvious that what they did to eusebia was to take her out of the way to get to damian and the best thing to do is tell the authorities, but bagre responds that call fulgencio is like putting a scorpion on the back, that the men of the tempest will stay alert and that damian will be better with them aside.
Hernan furious insult lara and valdivia and tells them that they are good for nothing, that it was so easy to kill damian. Mercedes tells jose that hernan saldana does not give her confidence, jose tells her that he does not know much of him, only that he has a lot of money and that one day he had a fight with damian and ordered one of his men to kill him. Mercedes tells him that she will ask detective archila to find out where he gets all that money because she doesn’t want him to take advantage of marina. Deliberately, mayuya shows herself naked to fulgencio and tells him that she is in love with him, that she didn’t tells him before because of her friendship with esthercita but now that she is not here anymore and as his wife does not love him, and he doesn’t love her, they can fall in love, fulgencio falls into mayuya’s seduction.
Hernan begs marina once again not to break their partnership precisely now that the packaging company is recovering, marina tells him that she accepts only if he assures her that he will not be hurt, hernan tells her not to worry about him and that together they will make the packaging company grow at an international level. Marina talks damian with love who is unconscious and he holds her hand firmly.
