Carlos calls Mia to find out if she is ok, and tells her they need to talk, he apologies for the danger he puts her through but she tells him she understands, Carlos suggests they just move to the States as the planned earlier, and start everything at fresh, like nothing happen, she assures him they can be happy as they were in the beginning, but she doesn’t want him to run away from his family, and advises him to face them but he tells her he doesn’t need them, and insists they start a new life, she also remind him it is only his family who can fill the emptiness in his heart, he once again start with his usual threats, accusing her of leaving him for Gael, but she tells him he is mistaken, he needs his family, they are the only people who can heal him, he tells her she is just like them and hangs up, Alexa comes to the Nakpil to tries to convince them to file a case against Lorenzo, Marilen asks her why she wants to send Lorenzo to jail when he is her ex-husband, she plays the victim as usual, and assures them she can help them, and informs them she has a plan, all they need is to trust her, Manuel agrees but Marilen doesn’t, Manuel reminds her their family suffered because of Lorenzo, and asks Alexa what they need to do, back in the bar, Carlos is all wasted, dancing with a lot of girls, Marilen sets a complete family table, she even add an extra plate for JR or Carlos, Gael comes to the table and notices that she has set an extra place, the house help enters the house and Marilen asks Gael if is it is JR, back at the bar.
Carlos keeps drinking, he removes money from his pocket, and throws it arounds, making a scene at the bar, and recalls when Mia informs them he chose him and the conversation with her in car and over the phone and assures himself he doesn’t need her, he start flirting with a lady, Pierre comes to bar and sees him, she calls Mia to inform her, Gael tries to call Carlos but he ignores his call, he asks Marilen to go upstairs and sleep, he will inform her as soon as Carlos comes home, and keeps calling Carlos, but he ignores it, so a guy at the club picks it, Gael decides to go there, Mr. Hence and Alexa discuss about the future of Antonio Holding, and agrees that she had a great idea, when she suggested he sued him, a guy threatens Carlos at the bar because he thinks he cheated during the game, he warns Carlos to be careful, if not he will end up like his friend Muloy, Carlos gets up and punches him, they start beaten him until Gael shows up to defend him, and takes him away, Mia shows up just as when they are already left, she sees Gael carrying Carlos away, Gael also notices her, they stare at each other until.
Gael and walks out with Carlos, and brings him to the house, Manuel helps Gael to take him to his room, Tres offers to take the soup to Carlos, Manuel and Gael manages to put him to sleep, Marilen joins them in the room and thank Gael for bringing Carlos home, and asks them to go have diner, she will take care of him, she covers and clean him, then sit to watch him sleep, she ends up sleeping in the chair, Carlos wakes up and notices that he is in a different place, he gets out of bed and sees her sleeping, he sees the soup beside his bed and takes some, he covers his mother then leaves, Lorenzo asks one of his workers not to inform Carlos about what is happening with Antonio Holding, Gael comes to the room and notices Carlos isn’t there, he wakes his mother up and tells her Carlos had already left, Alexa shows at Antonio Holding as the new shareholder, Mia opens her box and takes her goodbye letter to Gael out, tears it, removes her ring, holds it and recalls Carlos’s confession and put it in a box, Gael recalls his mother advise and calls Mia, she hesitates but picks up, he asks to meet with her.
