Bridges of Love Episode 96
Tres walks to the kitchen and sees Carlos drinking his coffee, he decides to leave but Tres asks him not to, he offers to cook with sardine for him because his mother told him it is Carlos’s favorite, Carlos declines his offer and still wants to leave, Tres then asks him to at least finish his coffee and refers to him as JR, then apologies and calls him Carlos, Carlos asks him not to worry, he can call him Carlos or JR, it fine with him. Tres quickly gets the sardine and promises him it won’t take long, but Carlos receives a phone call from Ms. Vida. Alexa does a pregnancy test, and it is positive, she sees it and starts crying. Carlos comes home to sees his dad drinking, Vida informs him his dad has been drinking for some time now, he walks to him and calls him dad, Lorenzo sarcastically tells him they had taken everything away, the company, the house, even his life, except him, and begs Carlos to come back home. Carlos asks him who is did this to him. Lorenzo tells him he doesn’t matter, what matters is that he is here with him, he admits he made a lot of mistakes as his dad, but he assures Carlos he thought it was best for them, he also admit he was selfish but his intention were never to hurt him again, he didn’t hand him over to his family because he knew they will hurt him again, that is why he did what every father would do, protect his son, so even if he loses everything, the company he worked so hard to build, he doesn’t care, he mistakenly reveals Alexa now owes everything.
Carlos quickly opens the envelop to find out what will happen to Mia’s shop, he reads and realized they also lost it, he angrily storms out. Mia informs Ms. Pierre is planning to accept her offer, because her shop has been closed, her mother suddenly collapse. Carlos goes to Antonio Holding to confront Alexa, he informs her he is ready to do whatever she wants, even if he meant to go on his knees, just for Mia to have her shop back, but if expect him to say sorry to her, if will never happen, because she hurt the people he loves, she assures him she will do everything possible to hurt him, make him and Lorenzo penniless, and make Mia suffer, she tells him he he took her love for granted and decided to hurt her, he asks her if she thinks after doing all this, he will return to her, and force himself to love, and let her know that he never loved her, he only learnt how to love thanks to Mia, she watches him without a saying a word, then goes to the bathroom to cry, Manuel comes to Carlos’s office, he informs him that Alexa is helping him to fight against Lorenzo, and blames Lorenzo for denying them the opportunity to be parent to him, but Carlos tells him he has no ideas what he is doing, he is destroying everything that his dad worked hard to accomplish. Manuel tells his he is his father, Carlos asks him not to call him his son, because he was never a father to him. Mia’s mum tells her she can feel she is almost dying, Mia assures her she won’t, they will take her to the State with them so she can continue with her treatment.
Manuel admits to Carlos that he did him a lot of wrong, but he regrets it, and informs him that he looked for them when they ran from home, and when they lost him, he blames no one but himself, he could not even forgive himself. Carlos tells him it is better this way, he should continue to blame himself for the death of JR. Mia’s mother tells her she appreciate all the time they spend together, and wishes to spend more time with her but her time is up and there nothing she can do. Manuel asks Carlos not to think he didn’t love him. Carlos tells him he never felt loved by him, because the only thing he remembers is Manuel hurting him, and asks him not to blame his father, if he took him away from them, and admits that Lorenzo was a better father than him, even though he is not perfect, he was at least became a father to him. Manuel goes home and informs Gael he went to ask for forgiveness but Carlos refused him, Gael advises him not to give up. Carlos drinks his rudeness away again, he calls Mia, and asks her not to worry about the shop, he will handle it, but she asks him not to worry about it, he insists and asks her not to insult him, he is still capable of solving his problem, she asks him to think about his family and take care of himself because she is fine, he rudely hangs up, and drinks more till he is all wasted, to the point that they even wake him up to go home. Carlos manages to get to his apartment with bottle of whisky and make a toast to Carlos Antonio, who has lost everything. Big brother shows up at the club to take him home, but he is too late, he looks around but doesn’t see him, he asks one of the waiters, and he tells him he already went home. Alexa shows up at Carlos’s apartment, she assures him she is not going to allow him to hurt her again, then removes her gun from her bag and points it at him, he manages to get on his feet and challenges her to shot him
