Carlos vomits in his cell, the police officer asks him to clean it but he doesn’t mind him, one of the cellmate tells the police officer he will deal with him. They end up beaten him in the cell. Gael tells Alexa, he was always angry at Carlos, because he kept hurting him and his family. Now that he found out that Carlos is his brother, he regrets everything because Carlos refuses to forgive them. He suggests they end everything, Alexa listen attentively and cries. Mia sees her mother drinking and reminds her that she is sick, and takes the bottle away from her and reprimands her. She takes the bottle back from Mia and tells her she is going to die anyway, so Mia should let her be happy. Eva tells Gael she is hungry, he decides to check if there is food when he receives a phone call about Carlos’s arrest. Back in the cell, Carlos can barely move. Gael goes to the police station and bailed his little brother. Before he leaves his cell, he threatens the cellmate who beat him up. Gael brings him home and he complains about Gael always bringing him into a house that doesn’t belong to him. Marilen tells him this is also his house. He once again starts with his usual, doubtful speech, asking them if they are happy to see him destroyed. Manuel asks him to save his breath for tomorrow. He asks Manuel if everything will come to an end when he wakes up tomorrow. Gael calls him brother but Carlos reminds him that are not brothers. Muloy is his only brother; they all keep quiet and watch him. Tres calls him Carlos, and there is goes, he is not Carlos Antonio, because Carlos Antonio doesn’t exists anymore, he lost everything.

He continues with his speech till he falls asleep in the sofa. Gael and Manuel take him to his bedroom. Eva informs Gael that his dad drops his case against Lorenzo, but she wants to make sure it is final decision before she files it. Gael tells her his dad made the right decision, if they go ahead with the case, Carlos may not forgive them. She thinks Carlos may not ever forgive them but he tells her when you love someone, you never give up. Mia’s mother manages to convince her daughter to join her to drink, as she narrates her story to her Mia. She asks her daughter to forgive her for leaving her behind. They both drink and cry. Gael walks in right on time to prevent Carlos from falling, he asks him if he still fall from the bed, Carlos also asks him if he still hasn’t given up. Gael assures him he won’t, no matter how many times he leaves; he will also be there to bring him home. He won’t neglect him anymore, Carlos falls asleep, Gael decides to sit and continue with his speech. He confesses to little brother that he sold him because it was the only way out for him to give him a good life. Telling his he was a burden, was the most painful word he ever used. When he pushed him away, it was the most painful things he ever did.
Tears begun to drop from his eye, he promises to make use of this second chance. That is why he is not going to give up, and will keep on bringing him to their family. He walks out and Carlos opens his eyes. Marilen is worried Carlos refuses to open the door, and tells her husband Carlos hasn’t eaten since yesterday. Manuel informs her about the development at the Antonio Holding. He thinks that explains why Carlos got drunk yesterday, and suggests they be a little bit understanding. Tres offers to take his breakfast to him. They all decide to go with him to Carlos’s room. Marilen knocks again and he doesn’t open, she informs him she will leave his breakfast at the door. Abner brings Alexa home, she tells him Gael didn’t report her to the police, even though he saw her trying to kill Carlos, and tells him about the conversation she had with Gael and Marilen. She wants to believe that they were right that it is only forgiveness that can set her heart free. She thought she will be fulfilled when she destroyed Lorenzo and Carlos, she was able to take everything away from them but she still doesn’t feel victorious. She tried to kill Carlos, puts her life and her baby’s life in danger all because of her hatred for them. So at this point she wants to believe Marilen, because she doesn’t want her child to grow up with hatred. Marilen replaces Carlos breakfast at his doo r with his lunch. Carlos wakes up and realized he is been sleeping for a long. He writes a text message to Mia, but erase it, he sees his picture in a drawer, takes it and recalls one of his conversation with Gael. He collides with Manuel on his way out of his bedroom, and the food drops on his shoes. Manuel actually cleans his shows and apologies to him.
