Byun Woo-seok, Kim Hye-yoon

  • tvN is planning a new timeslip romance called Pick Up Sun-jae and Run (roughly translated), with Byun Woo-seok (Moonshine) as a dying top star while Kim Hye-yoon (Snowdrop) is the woman who’s going back to the past to save him. Written by Lee Shi-eun (True Beauty) with co-directing by PD Kim Tae-yub (When My Love Blooms) and PD Yoon Jong-ho, the web novel adaptation is currently slated for a future Monday-Tuesday slot.   • ENA announced their lineup for the new fantasy The Moon that Rises in the Day (roughly translated), which stars Kim Young-dae (The Forbidden Marriage), Pyo Ye-jin (Taxi Driver 2), Ohn Joo-wan (Penthouse 3), and Jung Woong-in (The Good Bad Mother). Based on a popular webtoon by the same title, the series is launching on October 25, with PD Pyo Min-soo (The Third Charm) directing and scripts by Kim Hye-won. [Sports Donga]

  • After playing a superhero in Disney+’s upcoming Moving, Han Hyo-joo is reviewing an offer to become a famous fashion designer for her next project, a new drama called In Your Brilliant Season (roughly translated).   • Kim Ah-joong (Grid) is in talks for War of Daechi-dong’s Number Ones (roughly translated), which will be delving into the personal dilemmas faced by South Korea’s private education instructors. Jang Ki-yong, Chun Woo-hee

  • Jang Ki-yong (Now, We Are Breaking Up) confirmed his post-army project, playing a superhero who loses his powers in Although I Am Not a Hero. Also starring Chun Woo-hee (Delightfully Deceitful), filming is set to begin next month with Joo Hwa-mi (Welcome, Marriage Not Dating) writing and PD Jo Hyun-tak (Snowdrop, SKY Castle) at the helm.   • Over on JTBC, a new poster has dropped for Behind Your Touch, giving us our first glimpse of Suho (Rich Man) alongside our main pair, Han Ji-min (Yonder) and Lee Min-ki (My Liberation Notes).
