Esmeralda and Pablo are still unconscious and it worries Jarocha to the extent that she asks father Rivas if they are dead but he tells her not to compare them to the dead people as the dead cannot come back to live. Jarocha cries so hardly and she pleads with father Rivas to pray much harder to help save Pablo and Esmeralda from that situation because she feels that God will listen to him more than anyone else since he is heaven’s ambassador. Ines, Garabato and co goes for robbery and though the police try to go after them but they swerved them and had a tough but a successful robbery. Silencioso grows more and more worried so he goes to the doctor to plead with him to stop beating around the bush and tell him about the critical condition Esmeralda.
The doctor declares that, Esmeralda’s medical test doesn’t look very encouraging at all and even if she survives the trauma, Esmeralda will be left paralyzed and this really become a hard blow to Silencioso. But the doctor gives a little bit of hope to try reaching out to a specialist who will help her undergo an operation to see if she can walk again. Pablo comes out from coma but still with his eyes closed and the first person he calls her name is Esmeralda but unfortunately for him it was rather Gisela sitting beside his bed and Gisela in her obsession says to Pablo that hearing that name from his mouth only makes her wish Pablo was born deaf and dumb since she doesn’t want to hear that filthy name again but she is assuring him that, he is giving him few days and Esmeralda’s memory will be erased from his mind forever.
Mariano says to himself that, if only he can acquire her pain, he is going to be in her position and will be the one lying on that sick bed and will die if he really have to just to make her smile again and see her happy even if he is not her happiness. Gisela goes to see Esmeralda and she takes up a cloth and tries to strangle her whiles she is still in coma but luckily for her Silencioso enters and she becomes nervous and he throws her out
