Clark goes to his mum grave and tells her he saw his dad with his other son. His father walks pass him without saying a word to him. He has also decided to behave as if he doesn’t have a father since his father wants nothing to do with him. Clark recalls how he came to the States with his mother to meet his father and ended up with Jacqueline. Jacqueline runs into her sister from Philippine. She feels she looks so different. Well Jacqueline tells her that is life around here. She asks her sister not to tell her mother she dressed this way. If not she may have a heart attack. She came to the States to introduce her son to his father. The little boy is a bit nervous to meet his father for the first time. Kenneth comes out of his apartment and reminds her she can’t be show up at his apartment. He tells her he already explained to her that he can’t give her any more money. She is aware but she only came because she wanted him to meet his son. Kenneth tells her the boy isn’t his son; he already has a wife and a son. He doesn’t want to have anything to do with them anymore. She returns to her sister Jacqueline and narrates what happen. Jacqueline can’t believe it, how can he get her pregnant and refuses to take his responsibility.
Both woman are worried about Clark, she promises not to give up until Kenneth accept their son. Clark hides and eavesdrops on their conversation. Jacqueline asks her if she intend to stay and work in the States. She asks Jacqueline if she knows of any job vacancy. Jacqueline assures her finding a job is not a problem. She hopes she is aware that they are both illegal migrant. She is aware but she is willing to do everything possible for her son. Clark’s mother returns home and collapse right in front of her son. He cries for help but nobody around to help her, she died of pneumonia. Leah and Jacqueline also show up at the cemetery as requested by Leah. Clark promises his mother to take good care of his siblings. Leah and Jacqueline find it difficult to locate Leah’s mother grave. Jacqueline wonders if her mother was really buried in the States. They decide to ask the care taker and he confirms that Leah’s mother wasn’t buried here. Jacqueline can’t take her back to her hotel because she is late for work. Leah asks her not to worry she knows her way home. As soon as Jacqueline leaves, Leah wonders which direction she should take. Luckily for her she runs into Clark again. He apologizes and leaves without even looking at her.
She recognizes him and goes running after him. She accuses him of stealing her wallet, he tells her he has no ideas what she is talking about. Clark behaves rudely towards her again and leaves. She checks in her bags and sees her wallet. The competition takes place in the hotel, Clark gets to know about it from his colleagues. The competition is ongoing. Leah is the lead singer; Clark walks by and hears her singing. He hides behinds the door and sings along. He opens the door slightly but he is interrupted by his colleague and has to leave. Leah and her groups members returns to their room jubilating. Jiggs calls her to find out how the completion went. She informs him they were fourth. However they are happy because they gave their best. Jiggs gives her all the credit but she reminds him that they are a group. She even wonders why he calls her in the first place. She reminds him that they are no more dating; Jiggs tells her they are still friend. She agrees but asks him to stop calling her with pet name. He apologizes; he is used to call her this way. He quickly changes the subject and asks her about his mother. She tells him his mother was very good to her and thanks him. However she wonders why she still thinks that are dating.
Jiggs tells her he hasn’t told her they broke up. He asked her to take her out long before they broke up. He asks her if she intend to stay and looks for a job. She tells him yes, she will now start looking for a job now that the competition is over. He asks her to tell his mother about it, he already discuss their initial plan with her. Leah wonders if she will still help her even though they are not more together. He tells her she will; after all she has been helping other Philippine.

So she will also help his sweetheart, before she could talk the line goes off. Leah skype with her father, he wonders when she is returning. She reminds him that he gave her permission to extend her stay. He reminds her of their deal before she left. Clark once again refuses to join his colleague for a party. He has to report to his second job, his colleague advises he takes it easy. Clark tells him he can’t; he has a lot of expenses. His grandmother is asking for more money and he is yet to pay back the loan shark. Denzel suggests he pays his loan back at soon as possible. If not they may end up killing him. Leah informs her sister she can’t find their mother’s grave. She is not at the cemetery they said she was. Tiffany wonders where their mother’s grave is then.
Leah feels may be they got the wrong cemetery. She promises to visit all the cemetery in San Francisco until she find their mother’s grave. She tells her sister Jig’s mother will help her find a job. She assures her sister that her life there is good. Tiffany reminds her not to forget about what their father told her. She should return as soon as her visa expired. Leah informs her that her visa expired in 3 months. Within the three months she has to find a way to become a legal immigrant. Jiggs informs his friends that Leah isn’t coming back now. They feel she decided to stay because they have broken up. Jiggs reminds them that he didn’t agree to the break up. His friend suggests he let her be if she wants to break up with him. Jiggs refuses; he can’t let Leah go just like that. Just like the way his mother died to him when she relocated to the States, no he refuses to accept it. He was able to deal with the feeling of being left once but not anymore. Leah and Jacqueline spent time together again. Jacqueline wants to inform her son that his girlfriend came 4th at the competition. Leah tells her she and Jiggs have already broken up. Jacqueline doesn’t want to interfere into their decision. She is however glad that they are still friend.
Leah informs her about her intention to stay in the States. She wants to work there; Jacqueline tells her she can help her get a job. Clark does some extra job as a laborer to earn some extra cash. He asks his client to recommend him to her friend. Clark grandmother just received money from Clark and already his uncle are making plan on how to spend the money. She reproaches them for not helping in their wood business. While their sister is working very hard in the States they are here partying. Clark is attacked by the loan shark on his way home for refusing to pay him. They end up in a fight but he manages to beat them and runs off. Jigs beg his mother to help Leah with everything she needs over there. Jacqueline wonders why he is interested in Leah. She is no more his girlfriend; Jiggs tells her they only had a fight. He assures his mother they will be back again. Leah friends are returning to Philippine, Mrs. Ivy their representative asks her to return as soon as her visa expires. Leah relocate to Jacqueline’s house, she asks her how much will be her rent.
Jacqueline asks her not to worry about the rent. Leah tells her Jiggs told her she used to rent her room to Filipinos who just arrived in the States. She agrees but Leah is her son’s friend so she can’t accept her money. Leah insists on paying the rent, she tells Jacqueline she won’t be at ease if she stays in her room for free. Jacqueline asks her to give her whatever she can afford. Soliman doesn’t look good, his worker worried about him. He get all worried when his boss pretends to collapse. He gets angry at him to playing on a prank on him. Soliman leaves and hold his chest because he is feeling bad
