Arturo informs his son Eladio had the lowest bid and won the contract. He intends to interview all those involve in the business to find the snitch. He will make the traitor pay for betraying him, Augustin doesn’t agree with his decision. He feels none of the employees will be capable of betraying him. They have worked with him so years so have been loyal to him. David tries to calm Regina down but fails. She feels they should never have gotten close, and says at time even destiny makes mistakes. She takes her bad and leaves, David turn to Francisco and tell him he really like her. Francisco suggests they solve their difference; David reminds him it is not them but the family rivalry. Don Gisela accuses Maribel of infidelity. Clara laughs and tells her there is nothing between Francisco and Mariel. Caridad calls to inform her mother she might be out in less than a month. Erick goes to the bar to drunk away his foolishness. Arturo informs his family about the deal at the dining table. Regina walks in and requests to speak with him but too late. Just at that moment Daniella receives a notification on her phone and check it. The blackmailer uploaded the picture online, Daniella sees it. She in turn shows it to her mother who takes it to Arturo. Arturo wants to know what she was doing with Eladio’s son. Eladio celebrates his victory when Franco comes in and shows the picture to him. Just at that moment David walks in and daddy demands an explanation. Nina accuses Regina of breaking up with Joshua because of David. Daniella hopes they will longer call the black sheep of the family.
David wants to explain what happen to his father, Eladio feels he is traitor and of course Franco agrees with him. Julia tries to interfere but Eladio doesn’t let her speak. Back at the Montenegro house, it is Nina and Daniella against Regina. Miguel defends Regina, Nina asks him not to interfere. Arturo gives the floor to Regina to explain herself, she tells them she and David are working on the Queretaro project together. Arturo shows her the picture and wonder if they are working this way. Nina ordered her to cancel her contract with Queretaro right at that moment. Arturo decides to take his daughter to have a calm conversation. Nina tells Consuelo she is the perfect wife for not giving her opinion. Miguel passes a comment and Daniella asks him to shut up. David also explains his relationship with Regina but Eladio doesn’t believe him. However he is going to give David another chance to prove himself. He wants David to use Regina to get information about her father’s business. Regina assures her father she didn’t end her relationship with Joshua because of David. They only met at the café to discuss their project. She didn’t inform him because of the rivalry between them. Arturo wants to know if she wanted to end her project because of David. David refuses, Eladio asks him to keep quiet. He doesn’t care if he is dating Regina. Eladio wants to make it very simple for David. He either does what he says or cancels the Queretaro project. He declare the conversation over and leaves, Franco follows him. Julia asks David if there is really nothing between him and Regina.
Arturo also asks Regina to cancel the project; he doesn’t want her to see David again. Nina’s phone hasn’t stopped ringing since the image was published. Consuelo and Miguel wonder if Regina will tell the truth about her relationship with David to her father. Erick comes home and calls Regina a traitor then demands answers. Julia wants to know if Regina was the lady she saw him kissing in Queretaro. David doesn’t answer but tells her he is not dating Regina. The scandal affected his relationship with his father. Julia wants to know if he will use Regina to get information for his father, he tells her no. Arturo asks Erick not to speak to his sister this way. He wants Regina to tell them what she just told him, Erick doesn’t need an explanation. He asks his father not to look further; Regina was the one who leaked the information to David. Gisela wonders what she is going to tell Caridad, Austin brings her a cake made by Maribel. David watches the picture online and decides to check on her. He sends her a text message to find out if she is ok. They are both not fine, she tells him anytime they meet something bad happen and tells him good bye. Maribel brings coffee to her husband and she is unable to pour it in the cup. Austin helps her with the flask and asks her to sit down. he wants to know if she has something to tell him. Austin wants to know if she seeing another man. Maribel wants to know where he got this idea from. He tells her Gisela told him a man has been visiting her in the house. Maribel doesn’t deny it but tells him it is Francisco. David runs into Regina the following day. They both agree to stop working together and cancel the project.
Francisco informs Eladio David went to Queretaro. Eladio wonder if he run away, Franco tells him his son has no interest in the company. He brings David and Regina issue again and Eladio asks him not to meddle. Eladio calls David and leaves a message; he hopes David went to Queretaro to end the project. Erick is pissed off because Monserrat hasn’t been picking his call. Consuelo gives him the good news, she is pregnant. Erick can’t believe she decided to get pregnant at this moment. The project coordinators run into David and Regina and sympathize with them about the scandal. However they hope it won’t affect their work, of course it won’t. David and Regina agrees to keep working on the project. Erick apologizes to his wife but asks her not to inform anyone about it. Arturo gives the go ahead to Augustin to investigate the employees’ accounts including his son Erick. Miguel asks Consuelo if she told Erick about the pregnancy. She tells him yes and Erick told her it was bad timing, Miguel calls him Jerk. Consuelo tries to make excuses for her husband reaction. Miguel asks her no to defend Erick. He tells her Erick is an idiot who doesn’t deserve her love. David and Regina decide to communicate via email and if necessary meets at Francisco’s place. Consuelo defends her husband, Miguel tells her Erick reaction has nothing to do with his job at the office. Erick and Monserrat have been lovers for years. Erick furiously bangs at Monserrat apartment until she opens the door. Monserrat wants to know if Erick accepts her to celebrate because he fell into Eladio’s trap. Erick wants to know who told her, she says Eladio himself did. She tells Erick if Arturo finds out, he will leave him penniless.
Monserrat wants to know how much Eladio paid him for his betrayal. Miguel tells Consuelo he saw pictures and message between Erick and Monserrat. Miguel doesn’t like seeing her hurt. Consuelo thanks him for telling her the truth. She tells him he is her best friend and a hug her, Miguel tries to kiss her but doesn’t. Miguel tells her he will speak to Erick about it but she refuses, she prefers to confront him herself. Erick tells Monserrat the check he gave her was the only amount he got from Eladio. Monserrat wants to know what happen to the balance. Erick tells her he only got 50 cent after he sent them the information. Monserrat tells him he is broke and starts hitting him. Francisco feels David want to continue working with Regina because he is in love with her. David agrees but Regina is engaged to be married to Joshua. Francisco tells him the wedding has been cancelled. Well if Erick doesn’t have money, Monserrat can’t be with him. Erick wonders if she is with him for interest. She tells him no, she loves him but loves doesn’t food on her table. She reminds him that she already told him to secure her future if he wanted her to stop seeing Eladio. Consuelo is about to leave the house to confront Monserrat but runs into Miguel downstairs. He advises her not to; Consuelo feels bad and starts bleeding. She freaks out; Miguel asks her to calm down and carries her to her bedroom. Nina and Daniella visits Arturo at the office. Arturo can’t go with them to psychiatrist and promise to make it up to her. Remember Julia has a box in her office containing old letter and other memories of her and Arturo. She goes through the box and takes out a letter. Eladio walks in and she tries to hide it but he sees. He takes it from her and can’t believe she is holding Arturo’s letter.
