Bento Gonçalves refuses Bento Manuel’s help. Joaquim tells Garibaldi that Manuela shut herself to love after him. Barbara assures Rossetti that there’s nothing else he can do for her. Maria rejects Manuela and Caetana’s help. João Gutierrez quits, but Ana Joaquina won’t permit him to leave.
Rosário asks for Damiana’s forgiveness, who accuses her of pretense. Perpétua finds out she’s pregnant. Rossetti sees a Farroupilha General beating Barbara and discovers that he’s her father. The women congratulate Perpétua. The Farroupilhas unite their entire army.
Barbara confesses to Rossetti that she fell in love and that she slept with a priest, who committed suicide. The battle starts, but the Farroupilhas are forced to retreat. The officials start to question Bento Gonçalves’s courage.
Anita asks Joaquim to marry Manuela. Bento Gonçalves shows up at the ranch.
