Melesio offers to inform Christobal about Aldonza’s presence but he makes it clear to her that it will be very difficult if he is with Candela. He asks them to hide and make sure no one notices them. Severiano tells Christobal the doctor suggested they show love to Candela so he is going to check on her. He asks Christobal not to leave the house because his mother needs him. Melesio takes advantages and tells Christobal about Aldonza’s presence. Christobal begs Dominga to look after his mother while he meets with her. He begs her not to say a word to her about it. Tomas’s parents help him get dress for his date with Silvia. his father even gives him money to treat her well. Aldonza informs Christobal about Emmanuel disappearance, he agrees to go with her to look for him. Silvia comes out and sees Tomas all dressed up with a rose in his hand waiting for her. She decides to go and change her dress; she thought it was a casual dinner. Tomas stops her and assures her she looks good, he shows her the motorbike and she is all excited. Tomas suggests they take selfie before they move, he asks her to wear her helmet and drives off.
Humberto’s receptionist informs Prudencia that Humberto didn’t come to work. She is a bit worried because he never absents himself without a reason. Severiano called him several time but he didn’t pick it. Prudencia asks her what wrong with Candela, she says she doesn’t know but the truth is she doesn’t care. She is only worried about the doctor; since she is his family she came to inform her. Tomas takes Silvia to a fancy restaurant, he orders for champagne but Silvia advice to take something cheaper. Prudencia sees Aldonza and Christobal together. Silvia teaches Tomas how to use the napkin at the table, and suggest they cross arm to drink the champagne. They start talking about his appearance; he tells her he change his hair style so she can notice that he is serious man. He stretches his head and asks her how he looks. She tells him the truth is she likes, he says him, and he starts shouting in the restaurant that she likes him. She stops him and admits that she likes him but she prefers him in his normal look. He tells her the most important things she likes him, and starts shouting again that she likes him. Lola comes to the bar and sees Emmanuel sleeping on the table. He asks her to leave him alone but she refuses. She insists on taking him home, he gets violent and pushes her away. She ends up falling on the next table. Tomas carries Silvia from the motorbike to her office gate.
They end up kissing, then she stops, he pecks her neck and she gives in and kisses him back. He asks her if he should or not, she says yes, then no. Renato comes out and hears her saying no. he quickly pushes Tomas away and tells him she says no, then punches him. The bar attender scolds Emmanuel for his behavior, and then checks on Lola to see if she ok. Tomas gets up clean the blood coming out of his nose and punches Renato back. They end up fighting, Pato hears them and comes out to separate them. Tearful Lola sits and watches Emmanuel drinks. Silvia and Renato get inside the office and argue. She tells him they were only playing a game. Renato tells her this is type of game usually ends out of control, he was only trying to protect her. Renato denies and he agrees to stay out of her private life problems. Tomas comes home with his torn suit; his mother quickly rushes to find out what happen. His father asks him if they had an accident on the bike, he says no, he had it with a man. He tells them he had a fight with his rival, a guy who is in ove with office, because he saw him kissing Silvia. Severiano goes to the church to smoke. Severiano asks the priest if he is allowed to reveal the truth that was said under the oath of confession.
The priest tells him if he is referring to Emmanuel’s case, it was Aldonza herself who found out about it. The priest assures him his time is coming to end; Severiano tells him he always has the final say. Severiano asks him to take his niece along when he is leaving Santa Lancia. He blows the fume on the priest and drops the rest of the cigarette in the church. The priest asks him to leave; people like him are not welcome in the house of the Lord. Severiano asks him to relax; the house of the Lord belong everybody, and leaves. Prudencia visits Candela at home and wonder why she refuses to go the hospital. She says she prefers to stay at home. Valeria tells her they couldn’t contact he father so they called another doctor. Prudencia tells them Blanquita came by to inform her he didn’t show up at work too. Candela calls for Christobal and Prudencia tells her she saw him in town with Aldonza. Candela gets angry and tries to get but they stop her. Just at that moment Dominga and the doctor enter her room, Candela starts shouting Christobal’s name. Aldonza and Christobal go to the police station to inform the inspector about Emmanuel’s disappearance. Gonzalo runs into Flavia at the church. Renato informs Aldonza he has something very important about her father to tell her.
She wonders what it is but he tells her he prefers not to say it over the phone. Flavia confesses to Gonzalo that she doubt Joaquin will ever accept her back as his wife. Christobal tells Aldonza, he will search in the bar to look for Emmanuel. She offers to go with him but he refuses and asks her to go home. She refuses because she feels guilty for telling him the truth. She decides to go and see Renato then. She tells him he called her that he has something to tell her. Severiano storms into Humberto’s room and accuses him of telling the truth to Aldonza. He says yes he did, Severiano asks him why, he tells him because he is tired of hiding the truth. He doesn’t regret it even if Emmanuel hates him now, he doesn’t regret it. Severiano calls him an idiot, he tells Severiano he doesn’t care what he thinks about him. The important things he has gotten this burden out of his conscience. Severiano yells at him that he has no conscience, if not he will have pick his call. He will have been there to attend to his wife; that is his job as a doctor. Humberto admit he might not have been a better man or a doctor but at least he is not as miserable as him. He informs Severiano he is going to try to make things right for what is left of his life. He threatens Severiano to acknowledge Emmanuel as his son and give him the same right at Christobal. If not he will tell everything he knows about him, Severiano asks him like what. Humberto tells him the death of Father Sixto, and how he lost his arms.
Severiano threatens him with his gun and leave. Christobal shows up at the bar to look for Emmanuel but too late. He already left, the bar attender tells him what happen and suggests he goes search in another bar. Aldonza goes to the law office to talk to Renato, Christobal calls interrupts their conversation. Renato hands over two bullets to her and tells her it was handed over to him with her father ashes. He tells her Raymundo didn’t have an accident, he was murdered. She refuses to believe and tells him what happen. She decides to leave to confront Adelina; he offers to go with her. Aldonza wakes Adelina up and tells her she wants to talk to her. Adelina joins her downstairs and Aldonza shows the bullet to her and asks her what it means. These two bullets were found in her father’s body. Her father didn’t die in an accident as she her mother made her believed. Adelina denies any knowledge of the bullet, and assures her it was an accident. Aldonza yells that it is a liar; she asks Adelina to stop lying and tells her what really happen. She asks Adelina to swear on her life that she really knows nothing about these bullets and who killed her father.
Adelina refuses to answer to leave. Adelina calls the priest to inform him about what happen and warns him about Aldonza visits. She recalls a conversation where Roberto admits that she killed Raymundo and begs not to ever tell her daughter. Lola tells Christobal she saw Emmanuel last night at the canteen. Aldonza enters her uncle office and he tells her he was waiting for her. He informs her Adelina already called him because she is worried about her. She asks him to tell her what happen to her father. He says the only thing he can tell her is that he wasn’t in Santa Lucia when his brother died. Trying to find out what really to him won’t bring him back. She asks him if he is surprise to find out that his brother was murdered.
