Severiano is at the police, in front of the officer, he sees Candela’s call and ignores it. he hesitates then tells him to drop all the charges against the priest, right in front of the police officer. Severiano threatens the priest and angrily storms out of the station. Adriano holds Flavia as hostage to get away from the police officers, he releases her, and tries to run away. he starts shooting at the officers, they also start shooting back and Adriano get shot in the process. Severiano’s lawyer reprimands him for threatens the priest right in front of the police officer, but he tells him he cares less and leave. Valeria comes to Candela to talk about Christobal’s health and the charges against the priest. Adriano didn’t die, the ambulance takes him to the hospital, and Flavia is also taken to the station. the priest walks out of the station and sees the whole town gathered at the entrance, with placard to welcome him. Candela and Valeria comes to Christobal’s room, to inform him that Father Jeronimo has been released. his father dropped all the charges against him, Candela gets angry when he informs her that Melesio and Dominga are now working for Aldonza. back at the station, the people continue to chant, the priest gives his speech, he thanks them for all their support. he tells them he will celebrate an official Mass to thank them.

Aldonza tells him it is time to celebrate and they leave the station, Mari visits Pato at home and invite him for coffee. Severiano comes home and pour his anger on his workers, he accuses them of lazing around instead of working. one of the workers tells him Melesio and Emmanuel were the people who knew the job very well. Valeria finally makes her first move on Christobal. Tomas barges into Prudencia’s house and demand to talk. Nava informs Severiano that Adriano was arrested by the police. Candela shows up at Aldonza’s house and demands to talk to Melesio and Dominga.
Aldonza doesn’t allow her in, she closes the door and informs Melesio and his wife about Candela’s visit. They refuse to talk to her and Candela can’t believe it. Tomas tries to make love to Prudencia in her house but she refuses and manages to make him leave the house in time. Humberto runs into him just around his house. Severiano goes into Christobal’s room and wants him to be at least grateful to him for releasing the priest. his son reminds him he only did it because his mother insisted. Melesio and Dominga feel bad for declining Candela offer to come back to work for them. Lola advises them not to, but for the two people they spend all their life there and it meant so much for them. Valeria comes into Severiano’s room wearing her night dress and tells him she came to wish him good night and behave all flirty with him. Joaquin pays Flavia’s bill, and they released her. Valeria makes her second attempt on Christobal at night, she adjusts her night dress before entering his room. she offers him a new phone, Aldonza searches through some documents. she informs Adelina that she is looking for the death certificate of her father and sister. Christobal’s phone call interrupts their conversation. Valeria hides at his door and listen to his conversation. She enters his room when she notices that he tries to explain to Aldonza why she is staying with them. Aldonza hears Valeria’s voice and asks him what she is doing in his room by this time.
