Televisa Telenovelas and Series to Be Released In 2016
This year Canal de las Estrellas continue betting on the beloved genre telenovelas. Among the premieres include “Frente al mismo rosto” staring one of the most cherished couples: Angelique Boyer and Sebastian Rulli.
This year will feature a “new” face on Televisa screen. We are referring to Betty Monroe, the former TV Azteca actress will star alongside Cristian de la Fuente in “Sueno de amor”.
Below is the list of soap opera to be premiere this year.
“Frente al mismo rosto”
Starring: Angelique Boyer, Sebastian Rulli, David Zepeda and Javier Jattin.
Producer: Angelli Nesma
Premiere: second quarter of 2016
Angelli Nesma is already recording the new version of the melodrama “Lazos de amor” which starred successful actress and singer Lucero.
This time the star playing the triplets will be Angelique Boyer, who has already worked with the producer on soap operas like “Abismo de Pasion” and “Lo que la vida me robo”. Interestingly, two of her suitors in ““Frente al mismo rosto”” will be David Zepeda and Sebastian Rulli, with whom she co-stared in such productions, respectively.
“Sueno de amor”
Starring: Betty Monroe and Cristian de la Fuente

Premiere: 22nd February after “Antes muerta que Lichita”
In this story, Esperanza Guerrero (Betty Monroe) will play a single mother of two, Pedro 18 years and Patricia 17 years. Esperanza is cheerful, brave and tenacious, her dream is to build a school to educate the less privileged.
Meanwhile, Ricardo Alegria (Cristain de la Fuente) is a man of action who works in the US as an Interpol agent, dedicated to fight crime and protect the society. Ricardo is a funny, cheerful and generous character.
Joining the cast in the production, include Santiago Ramundo, Renata Notni, Polo Morin and Sabine Moussier, among others.
“Corazon que miente”
Starring: Thelma Madrigal, Pablo Lye and Dulce Maria
Producer: Mapat
Premiere: 8th February at 7:15 PM
The telenovela “Corazon que miente” marks that third project in which Thelma Madrigal and Pablo Lye will share credit. In addition, production is bringing back Dulce Maria, after her special appearance in “Mentir para vivir” by Rosy Ocampo.
The melodrama tells the story of Camila, a beautiful young upper class student that will challenge her family and face all kinds of obstacles to find true love.
“Un camion hacia el destino”
Starrging: Paulina Goto and Horario Pancheri
Producer: Nathalie Lartilleux
Premiere: 25th January after “La Vecina”
“Un camion hacia el destino” is the adaptation of Televisa soap opera “La hija del jardinero” produced by TV Azteca in 2003.
Paulina Goto and Pancheri Horario will play Maria Fernanda and Carlos respectively. Joining them will be Rene Strickler, and Eugenia Cauduro among others.
“El Hotel de los secretos”
Protagonists: Erick Elias and Irene Azuela
Producer: Roberto Gomez Fernandez
Premiere: 2016
“El Hotel de los secretos” is described as a hybrid between series and soap opera. It is a Mexican Spanish adaptation of the hit series “Grand Hotel”. The story will star Erick Elias and Irene Azuela.
Among the actors involved in this project include Diana Bracho, Daniela Romo, Juan Ferrara, Jorge Poza, Ximena Herrera, Dominika Paleta, Claudia Ramirez, Sofia Castro, and others.
“En la vida de … Joan Sebastian”
Starring: Jose Manuel Figueroa, Julian Figueroa and Lavita Brito
Producer: Carla Estrada
Premier: 2016
“En la vida de …Joan Sebastian” is a serie based on the life of the late King of Jaripeo, Joan Sebastian. The story will be starring his children Julian Figuera (juvenile stage) and Jose Manuel (adulthood) with actresses such as Livia Brito among others.
This project marks the return of Carla Estrada after spending several years as a producer of the newspaper “Today” Canal de las Estrellas.
“Dios Dianas”
Cast: Danna Garcia, Andres Palacios, Victoria Ruffo and Cesar Evora
Producer: Salvador Mejia
Premier: 2016
The producer Salvador Mejia (Que bonita amor, Lo Imperdonable) is preparing an adaptation of the Venezuela soap opera “Dios Dianas”. So far there is little information has been confirmed on production but they have released their protagonist.
