Mercedes tells Beatrice that she knows Marina is not her daughter and she knows about her Beatrice’s history with her husband, Ariel, Beatrice asks her how did she know about it, and she tells her she is Marina’s mother, Beatrice is in shock, she thinks Mercedes used their friendship to get closer to Marina, she insists that she is the one who raised Marina and Mercedes cannot take her away from her. Mercedes thanks her for raising Marina and making her the woman she is today, she tells her that they must tell Marina the truth because they have to protect her from a man who wants to destroy Marina.
Magdalena questions Jose about why the man in the cafeteria called her Marina; she warns Jose that she will find out. Magdalena runs into Hernan again in the hospital corridor, he apologize to her for mistakenly calling her Marina, she tells him she is the daughter of Mercedes, Hernan smile and introduces himself as Mercedes business partner, after his conversation with her Hernan figures it out that Magdalena and Marina are twin. Beatrice asks Mercedes the reason she gave Marina the Fish Packing job, she replies that she needed to protect Marina and that Beatrice’s health required her to be by the sea.
Beatrice agrees to help Mercedes protect Marina, but she will never allow Mercedes to tell the truth to Marina. Jose informs Mercedes that Hernan saw Magdalena at the hospital and called her Marina. On their way home, Mercedes asks Magdalena what she discussed with Hernan; she replied that she told him the truth, Mercedes is her mother and that Magdalena and Marina are twins. Damian calls Marina; she is still cold to him and asks her why she says she is aware he spent the whole day with Ursula.
Mercedes goes to Ernesto house and warn him to leave her girls alone on her way out she sees pregnant Esthercita. Damian asks Lazaro why he was talking to the blind beggar; Lazaro denies talking to the beggar and leave. The doctor tells Marina and Rebecca that Beatrice is terminally ill, he does not know how long she has to live, Ernesto walk into Esthercita and Hernan chatting in the sofa very close to each other, he get angry and slap her.
Lazaro confesses to Damian his involvement in the trafficking organization, he tells Damian that Robles is not dead.
