Mariana informs Pablo that she has already started with the wedding preparation. he gets mad and tells her not to organize any wedding. she starts crying and reproaches him for not communicating with her when he went to Mina Escondida. Pablo apologizes and claim he is tired and advise they talk tomorrow but she begs him to stay. our love birds smile and cuddle. Veronica tells her husband she was right to hold down to their marriage. she knew they will do great as husband and wife. Martin tells her he doesn’t want to talk about the past and kisses her passionately. Claudia and Virginia have lunch. Virginia asks her if she found out about Martin’s revenge. she says no, but Martin is determined to make his marriage with Veronica work. Virginia says it will be a pity if Veronica gives everything up and end up divorcing Martin. Claudia tells her Daniel asks her to hand over this letter to her. Virginia wonders why she refers to him as Daniel instead of Dr. Fernandez. she asks Claudia what she thinks of him. Claudia says they were all working moreover she is only interested in Martin. Martin is all dress up about to leave. Veronica tells him she wishes they stay there forever. he tells her if he wish doesn’t have to leave her side. Veronica seems to like the idea but too bad Martin reminds her he has work to do at the mine. she gets jealous when Martin mentions Claudia. he kisses her and tells her Claudia is very efficient at her work she doesn’t need to be jealous about her. she tells him if Claudia doesn’t learn to behave more professional towards him. she won’t hesitate to defend her marriage. Martin laughs and tells her to enjoys seeing her like this. she reminds him that he is hers and they both laugh.
Veronica suddenly proposes marriage to him. he laughs and remind her they are already married. she smiles and says she want a spiritual ceremony. here at the waterfall because it meant so much to them with a few guests only the people who care about them. something simple just like their wedding. Martin caresses her face and says “Veronica, I am your love, your protector, and I am the luckiest man in this world to be your husband”. he accepts her proposal and kisses her. Virginia reads Daniel’s letter, he tells her the marriage of Veronica and Martin isn’t doing well. Veronica thinks he is going crazy, she pauses and says Daniel should stay there. far away from Emiliano, she continues reading. Veronica believes Martin wants to make her suffer. Martin knows that his brother committed suicide because of a woman. he thinks Veronica is responsible for what she herself (Virginia) did. Martin and Veronica still cuddling at the water fall. Botel and Magdalena are back in Mina Escondida. he feels bad that she decided to stop her treatment. she tells him there is no need to continue if her daughter is dead, and begs him to leave her alone. Veronica enters with flowers and a basket of fruit to welcome Magdalena. she sees her crying; Magdalena tells her she discovered that her daughter is dead. Veronica get closer to her and holds her tightly. Virginia informs her family that Martin is doing well. Jorge wants to know about Veronica, she says despite the hardship Veronica has no intention to return to the city. Emiliano can’t believe Veronica prefers to stay in that village. Virginia tells him the only things to make their life complete is for Veronica to have a baby.

Magdalena thanked Veronica for comforting her. Magdalena narrates her story to her and tells her she has nothing to live for. Veronica tells her she has Botel and other people who care about her in this village, and hugs her. Mariana laments to Virginia about Pablo’s behavior. Virginia tells her the only reason for his sudden change is another woman. Mariana thinks she is mistaken. Veronica tells Magdalena things between her and Martin are getting much better. Mariana confronts Pablo about what Virginia told her. he reminds her that the wedding was her mother’s idea she mistakenly asks for a break up if he is no more interested and Pablo gladly agrees. Emiliano scolds Virginia for interrupting his shooting practices. she apologizes and shows him her own target practice. he smiles and congratulate her. Nicolas shows up and Emiliano excuses himself. Virginia and Nicolas chat. Mariana tells Pablo she doesn’t want to break up with him. he asks her why did she propose it then. she says she was angry and needed to do something. Martin tells Botel he is very sorry for Magdalena’s lost. he assures him that they count on him and Veronica. Botel tells him it seems things are going on well between them then. Martin smiles and agrees with him. Cresencio shows up and reprimands Botel for leaving town with his Magdalena. Botel tells him he is aware of what happen during his absence like a nasty drunk man stabbing Martin. Emiliano informs Nicolas and Virginia that he is going out with Claudia in the evening.
Mariana runs after Pablo and informs him about the big opportunity they have been waiting for. a museum in New York wants to exhibit his work. she advises him to return to Mina Escondida to finish his painting. Cresencio informs Martin that he will marry Ana Perla off before they start with the construction of the school. he doesn’t want any outsider to deceive his granddaughter. Martin tells him he can’t force her to marry someone she doesn’t approved off. Cresencio challenges him by asking him who is going to stop him. Martin tells him he will if necessary. Cresencio tells him Ana Perla will do as ordered and leave. Mariana convinces Pablo to accept the offer and they will see what happen between them later. Veronica jokes with Martin to see if he can fix the blender. Cresencio informs Ana Perla he is marrying her off. Nancyiaga visits Magdalena, she brings her flowers. Magdalena tells her Veronica told her she saved Martin’s life. Nancyiaga tells her she didn’t want her patron to die. Magdalena reminds her that Martin is Veronica’s husband she should respect that. Nancyiaga notices that she is sad and advises her not to lose hope. her storm will bring changes in her life. Botel shows up and warns her not to give false hope to Magdalena.
