No Veronica is glad to see her cousin Emiliano. she smiles, looks at him and hugs him again. Ana Perla is finally out of her room. she gets a shock of her life when Cresencio informs her. Manuel will watch over her while he goes to Mexico. Teo tells Claudia and Daniel that Emiliano is in town. Veronica offers him a seat not knowing the chair is almost broken. Emiliano sits and all of sudden about to fall. veronica laughs then apologizes and give him another chair. she then asks him about the family. she wants to know how everyone is doing. he tells her he came to see how she is doing. she tells him she happy she is interested in her welfare. Emiliano then starts complaining about her living condition. she looks like a maid but Veronica quickly defend her home. he tells her she lied to them that she was happy. she tells him it is the truth, she is very happy. he gets angry and tells her it is impossible for her to be happy in such conditions. in Cancun, Mariana advises Virginia to distract herself that she can’t be thinking about Emiliano all the time. Salma calls Virgin and informs her the following day they are coming to Cancun. Emiliano throws things around at the San Telmo mansion. Veronica get angry and informs him he can’t come to her house and throws things around. if he is really an anthropologist he should understand people different way of living. he tells her she should be treated like a queen and holds her hands. she tells him her hands are a bit rough because she has been working. she reminds him she is not ashamed of it work she always dignifies a person.
Emiliano can’t believe this, she deserve much more better. she needs nothing more, the love of her man Martin is enough for her. she asks him to leave if he only came to question her new life. she tells him until he respects her home she doesn’t have anything else to tell him. Cresencio goes to the mine with Raymunda. Joaquin informs him his children are no longer under punishment. Cresencio is not happy about it, Joaquin informs him it is his home and he makes the rules. Raymunda listens without saying a word. Emiliano tries to convince Veronica. she won’t listen and asks him to leave. she actually pushes him to the door to go. Nancyiaga enters and asks Veronica who Emiliano Veronica tells her it is a family member. Nancyiaga doesn’t believe her, how can they hug if they really family members. Claudia tells Daniel she has some work to do with Emiliano but he doesn’t believe her. he knows Martin asks her to return to Mexico. she prefers to stay despite the fact that he want nothing to do with her. she tells him Martin said it in front of his wife because she is jealous of her. he advises her to stay away from Martin and offers to keep her company. she invites him to the canteen. Mariana wonders what Salma and Jorge will say when they found out Emiliano is not with them. Virginia informs her she has decided to join Emiliano in Mina Escondida. Mariana tries to convince her not to. Emiliano goes to the mine to confront Martin. as soon as he seems him he starts complaining again about their living condition. Martin gets angry at the words Emiliano uses to describe his home. he tells him Veronica is very happy and in love with him, as well as her home. Emiliano get angry and grabs him violently but Martin pushes him away. Emiliano removes his gun and point it at him. Martin tries to calm him down but he shoots.
he tells Martin the shot wasn’t meant for him but the snake who was about to bite him. Martin turns and sees the dead snake. Emiliano tells him he could have killed him but he is not a coward. he prefers to fight man to man. Martin tells him veronica chose him and there nothing he can do about it. Emiliano thinks he deceived her if not he would not be living here with her. they start throwing punches at each other and rolling on the grass. Raymunda informs her children that they are no longer under punishment. she warns them not to help Ana Perla meets with Pablo. Martin now on top of Emiliano, he gives him a very hard punch, Emiliano punches back. they continue with the fight.

Nancyiaga shows up from nowhere and jumps on Emiliano’s back. Martin reprimands him for pushing her so hard. Emiliano tells him he didn’t know she was a woman. Manuel offers Claudia a drink but she refuses. he reminds her that thanks to him if she still in Mina Escondida. she then accept his drink, Emiliano tries to have a little chat with Nancyiaga. she touches his face and runs off. Manuel tells Claudia that even though the mine belongs to his grandfather. he is the boss and managed all the cash and she is once more impressed. Martin and Cresencio continue to argue about the filter problem. he blamed Martin for entrusting the purchase of the items into Claudia’s hand. Martin came up with the good idea that everyone thinks will work but once again Cresencio is against it. desperate Martin warns him to either cooperate or lose money. he finally agrees and shake his hands. Cresencio asks Julio to watch over the house so Pablo doesn’t get the chance to see Ana Perla. Teo hands over Ana Perla’s letter to Pablo.
Magdalena looks happy when Veronica tells her about Emiliano’s visit but veronica isn’t. Nancyiaga eavesdrops on their conversation. Veronica narrates her story with Emiliano. Magdalena tells her she once met a drunkard who hurt her badly. Veronica is sure Emiliano would never hurt her. Magdalena advises her not to so sure. Emiliano walks to the canteen and tells Claudia she lied to him, and ordered for tequila. Nancyiaga informs Veronica about Emiliano’s request to learn more about her tribe. she also tells her about the fight he had with Martin. she sees a black butterfly on the wall and panic. she tells veronica it is a bad sign. veronica asks her to leave the house because she always scared her anytime she talk about her evil stuffs. Martin and Botel with the rest of the miners work very late. Emiliano continues to drink and drink more at the canteen. he laments to Claudia about his encounter with the San Telmo family. she tries to stop him but he orders her to leave. Martin and Botel chat about the fight he had with Emiliano. Botel also agrees that he wasn’t necessary for him to bring her live in Demetrio’s house. Martin admits it but informs him he is planning on building veronica a house. Emiliano is all drunk calling Veronica’s name. Veronica is all set up to receive her husband after a long day at work. she shows the night dress to Madgalena but she is a bit concerned about Emiliano. Magdalena advises her to forget about Emiliano and concentrate on Martin.
Claudia decides to set Veronica up and tells Daniel to take Emiliano to Veroncia’s house. veronica is all dressed up, table set with candle and a bottle of wine, ready to make babies. Daniel shows up with Drunk Emiliano, he is even unconscious. she tries to wake him up but he is not paying any attention to her. she reprimands him for his drinking habit. after many prodding and pushing. she finally manages to get him out of her bed. he grabs her arms and confesses his love for her again. he collapse and falls on her, they both fall on the bed but Emiliano is top of her. she tries to move him but she can’t. she calls out for Nancyiaga to come help her but nothing. Martin comes home, sees the romantic table set up and smiles. he goes into the bedroom and sees Emiliano on top of Veronica.
