Martin asks her what truth she is talking about, she tells him she can’t bear it to see him suffering like this. He tells her there is nothing he can do because Veronica does want to listen to him. She interprets it as Veronica no longer loves him. Martin tells her he approached Veronica for the wrong reasons. She tells him if Veronica doesn’t want him anymore, then she prefers not to say anything. Botel sees the dress Clement send to Magdalena and assures him he won’t allow her to go and meet with Clement in this dress. Martin asks her what she wanted to tell him but she tells him she prefer to keep quiet to avoid more problem. He agrees with her, she asks him where he intends to stay. Martin tells her he will stay with the priest, she also wants to stay with him but he refuses. He gives her a flower and leave. Botel tries to convince Magdalena that Clement must be up to something but she won’t listen to him. Manuel burst into Raymunda’s house and sacres little Polo. Polo hides in his mother’s arm and begs her not to let Manuel mistreat him.
Manuel tells him he was only joking with him. Raymunda tells him he no more welcomed in her house. He tells her Alfredo will handle her settlement, he wants nothing to do with her anymore. She once again tries to give an excuse for telling the truth to Veronica. She informs him about her break up with Pierre. She tells him she still loves him and tries to kiss him but he pushes her away. She desperately tells him if his marriage with Veronica didn’t work he can at least still be friend. He makes it clear to her that it can never love another woman and advises she accepts that nothing can happen between them not even a friendship. Magdalena shows up at the bar as instructed by Clement. Martin comes home with cloth for his wife, he meets Blanquita with her. He instantly start flirting with her but she tells him she want to know what happen to her daughter. Veronica pretends to be asleep and listen to Martin and Blancquita conversation and smile. Breaking News, Virginia pregnancy test turns out to be negative, Emiliano enters her room to remind her about their dinner. Martin returns home with a tray of food of his wife who is fast asleep, he sits beside her and promise to do everything possible for her to forgive him. Clement tells Magdalena that he thinks her daughter died out of sadness. Martin tries to kiss Veronica but she wakes him and tells him she asks him not to come here. He tells her he only came to give her Matilde’s letter; she thanks him and asks him to leave. Magdalena hands over the money to Clement and leave, Aaron walks to his brother and collect the money.
Manuel attacks Ireri again and accuses her of reporting him to the priest, she slaps him to free herself but Manuel removes his knife and threatens to hurt her. She dares him to, Manuel put the knife down and tries to rape her but Pablo shows up in time. Manuel threatens Pablo his knife, Pablo challenge him to a fight, he puts his knife down and starts throwing punches at each other. Uspin shows up and separate them then punches Manuel and threatens him with his own knife for trying to rape Ireri. The police show up at the canteen but ireri refuses to report Manuel Upsin tells her if she doesn’t he will. Virginia informs Daniel she is not pregnant; she tells him she is a bit sad because her pregnancy was the key to marry Emiliano. Daniel suggests they change the topic, and talk about the fire at the San Telmo. She gets a shock when he tells her Veronica is already awake, she is even planning of coming to Mexico to start with divorce process.
She forbids him to allow Veronica come to Mexico, she doesn’t care how he is going but he should make sure she stays in Mina Escondida. She even suggests he drugs her to make her weak, Daniel tells her Veronica can get worse. Virginia tells him it will even be better if Veronica end up dying. Veronica wakes up and sees Martin sitting in the room; he desperately goes on his knees and start begging for another change. Pierre shows up and interrupts their conversation; he enters Veronica’s room with his usual flirtatious speech. He manages to make her smile, he tries to hand over to her the cakes and book he brought but Martin takes them from him. Pierre asks him about his offer to allow them stay in his hotel but Martin instantly refuses. Veronica informs Pierre she and Martin are getting a divorce, and as it stands she is a free woman so she accepts his invitation. You can imagine Martin’s facial expression after her statement.
