Magdalena tells Botel she drunk it because she was a bit nervous. he reminds her that it is not advisable to mix alcohol with her medication. Martin apologies to Pierre for his behavior, he tells him he is not to be blamed for the problem in his marriage. Pierre asks him if he is sincere or he is doing it because Veronica asks him. He agrees it was Veronica, and tells him he doesn’t like the fact that he is too close to Veronica. Since Veronica has decided to stay in his hotel. he also wants a room next to her. Virginia tells Salma about Claudia visits, Salma tells her Claudia isn’t good enough for her son. She advises Virginia to remain close to Emiliano, Virginia tells her Emiliano kissed her. Martin comes to Veronica’s room to wish her good night with the permission of Matilde of course. She tells him they are still husband and wife and let him in. she sees him and pretends to be reading. Martin informs her he is staying in the next room. he also apologized to Pierre as she requested. Matilde hides and listen to their conversation. later she assures Veronica that Martin’s love for her is sincere. Salma tells Virginia that she is very happy Emiliano finally made a good choice. She even offers to teach Virginia how to make his favorite meal. Matilde tells Veronica she doesn’t understand why Martin decided to marry the woman his brother care about so much. Veronica tells her she way she says it sound horrible. but Demetrio was already dead when she met Martin.
Veronica tells her Martin inherited the mine from Demetrio. Matilde tells her she would never have suspected her dating Demetrio, may be… she hesitate then says no it is impossible. Virginia would never notice someone who doesn’t have money. Veronica tells her she loves Martin but when she thinks of all the humiliation, and accusation it is difficult for her to forgive him. Matilde tells her Martin thought she had an affair with his brother and treated her badly. He now regrets it and he is trying everything possible to prove to her that he loves her. Veronica asks her if she thinks she and Martin can be happy and if she forgives him. Matilde tells her she is only telling her to decide on what makes her happy. Emiliano and Nancyiaga have the same dream at the same time, in which they make love, and they both wake up at the same time. Pierre brings Veronica’s breakfast to her in the room with a rose; he assures her he had no intention of destroying what it left of her marriage. He told Martin he only sees her as a friend. Veronica thanks him for his friendship, he tells her however, if she divorce Martin, he will try his luck.
She tells him she hadn’t decided whether she will divorce Martin or not, she hands over a fax to send it to her uncle. Botel and Magdalena leaves for the exhumation, as soon they leave Aaron start calling but no one answer. He warns her to respect him or forget about their plan. Virginia apologies for her behavior, he tells her he is sending Veronica’s fax but she has to destroy it. He also informs her that Matilde is with Veronica, she start cursing the old woman.
She reprimands Daniel for not killing Veronica when he had the opportunity; he reminds her that he is not a murder. He admits that he loves her but he is not willing to put his career at risk, Veronica sees Daniel with the fax and question him about it. He tells her he sent it on her behalf because Pierre had an emergency and hand over the copy to her.
Claudia comes to the Prado Castelo house to visit Emiliano but she meets Salma. Salma’s behavior makes it clear to her that she doesn’t like her. Salma asks her not to visit her son at home to discuss work. Claudia leaves and Virginia shows up to find out what happen. Salma tells her Claudia was here to look for Emiliano. Virginia suggests Salma convince Jorge to allow her and Emiliano go on vacation in Cancun. Manuel spies on Ireri while she swims; unfortunately for him Uspin joins his girlfriend. Cresencio narrates to Ana Perla how he met her grandmother. Veronica asks Matilde if she knows why Jorge never called or sends her a fax when Virginia told him about her condition. Matilde tells her no one told him about the incident, Veronica thought as much. Typical Virginia, she is a liar, always trying to harm others, Matilde agrees with her and she also tells Veronica about Emiliano and Virginia relationship. Ireri begs Uspin not to ruin his life for someone like Manuel. He listens to her and put his knife back, Manuel takes advantages and punches him, Uspin punches back. Uspin second blow was too strong for Manuel, he is now rolling on the floor, Uspin warns him to stay away from Ireri if not he will kill him. Matilde tells Veronica about the argument she had with Salma and Virginia. Veronica wants to inform Jorge and Emiliano but Matilde refuses, she tells her thanks to the vacation she is spending time with her and they both laugh.
Claudia goes to the club and finally meets with Emiliano. He tells her he thought she was still in Mina Esondida. She says no, Martin doesn’t want to have anything to do with her anymore. She blames it on Veronica, but Emiliano tells her Veronica is incapable of doing such a thing. Emiliano holds Claudia hand and asks her not to worry, he is about to offer her a job in his company when Virginia interrupts them. Virginia tells Emiliano she already told Claudia they are dating. Magdalena and Botel stand by as they dig her daughter’s tomb; she keeps turning to check if someone is watching them. Matilde tells Veronica about the conversation she had with Magdalena, and feels Magdalena should have ask Veronica directly. Veronica says it is good she didn’t, she doesn’t like talking about her past. The little she remembers of her parent makes her sad, especially her mother who abandoned her. Matilde tells her they left behind the best daughter and she glad she raised her. They dig the Magdalena’s daughter coffin out, opens it and it is empty.
