Severiano tells her Jeronimo is not man enough but she assures him he is far better than him. Severiano tells her if he was he will have at least fight for their love instead of becoming a priest. Severiano goes to his office and pour himself a drink. He holds the glass tightly in his hand with anger until he breaks it. The police inspector question Don Camilo about Adelina’s death. He recalls the conversation he had with Adelina before she died and admit that she was sad. Marga narrates her love story with Arnold to Lola; her parents could not approve their relationship because he was poor. He left and didn’t return again, since then she never heard of him.
Lola tells her she can easily find him thanks to the internet but Marga prefers not to. The police investigating Adelina’s case don’t really know how to go about the investigation. Don Antonio tells him he wishes to see him compete again with Solitario, he says someday yes but right now Aldonza needs him. Aldonza watches her aunt’s picture when Renato joins her and update her. She tells him she doesn’t understand, he begs her to let him finish first. She was his first happiness when he came to Santa Lucia and hopes they remain friends when they are no more dating. She threatens him not to dare break up with her; he holds her shoulders and asks her how he can break up with her when she has already broken up with him. He knows she wants to end their relationship but doesn’t know how to go about it. That is why he decided to do it; he brought her the flowers because he didn’t want them to have a bad break up. She reproaches herself for not loving him but he assures loves doesn’t work this way. She thanks him for being the best friend in her life and hugs him.

Just at that moment, Severiano walks him and Christobal pounces on him. Christobal threatens to kill him if he ever touches his mother again. Severiano asks him to let go of him, his mother is his wife and he can treated how she pleased. Christobal tells him nothing justifies hitting a woman, nothing. Severiano asks him nothing and Christobal confirmed nothing. Severiano laughs and tells him he saw her kissing Father Jeronimo. Severiano tells him she was crying to Dominga because the priest is leaving to town. She also confessed to him that the priest is the love of her life and as he husband he could not tolerate it. Christobal reminds him she also tolerated his affair with Roberta and all the other women. He warns his father not to ever touch his mother again if not he will have to deal with him. Candela tries to take the blame for what happen but Christobal tells her Severiano said he saw them kissing, Candela tells him he is exaggerating. Father Jeronimo didn’t do anything, she kissed him when she heard he is leaving town. She tells him all thanks to his father; he went to report him to the bishop.
Renato informs Humberto about Aldonza intention to put El Santuario in Emmanuel’s name but Humberto refuses. Renato gives him his will and Humberto asks him to start with his divorce process. Aldonza, Emmanuel and father Jeronimo scatter the ashes in the waterfall. Valeria gets home and blames her mother for getting her kick out of Las Animal. She made Severiano hears that her child is not Christobal. He threatens her to get El Santuario for him so he can keep her secret but he kicked her when he realized she couldn’t. Prudencia console Valeria and suggest she abort the child. Severiano interrupts father Jeronimo and Tomas conversation; he reminds the priest that Candela is still his wife. He lashes the priest’s face and turns to leave, Tomas tries to confront him but the priest holds him back. The priest asks Severiano to get out of his church, Severiano smiles and leave. Tomas sees the blood on the priest’s face and once again tries to go after Severiano but the priest holds him. Severiano comes out of the church and Don Antonio grabs him and holds him against the wall in the dark. Don Antonio threatens to kill him like the dog that he is, in the dark with no witness just like the way he raped his sister. He points his gun at Severiano’s throat, and tells his death will also be like all the crime he committed. The police will stop investigating because the will be no evidence, Severiano begs him not to. Don Antonio asks him to go on his knee and begs for his life.
